About the Role

Digital Experience (DX) () is a USD 5B+ business serving the needs of enterprise businesses including 95%+ of fortune 500 organizations.

We are hiring aDirector of Engineeringto lead a senior engineering organization responsible forlarge-scale, cloud-native platforms and AI/GenAI-powered capabilities. This role requires a leader withstrong technical judgment,proven people leadership, and the ability toconnect engineering decisions to business and customer outcomes.

You will own technology strategy and execution for highly distributed systems, while building a culture ofengineering excellence, accountability, and innovation. You will lead engineers, engineering managers, and architects deliveringenterprise-critical applications, hundreds of microservices, and AI-driven solutions.

What You Will Do

• Define and drive thetechnical vision and execution strategyaligned with DX business priorities
• Providetechnical and architectural leadershipacross large-scale, distributed systems
• Lead design and delivery of platforms comprisinghundreds of microservices, ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and performance
• Ownend-to-end delivery and operations, balancing execution speed with long-term system health
• Lead teams buildingAI/GenAI-powered customer-facing featuresand applying AI to improve engineering productivity
• Translate complex technical decisions intoclear business and customer impact
• Set a high bar forengineering excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement
• Mentor senior engineers, managers, and architects throughcomplex technical and organizational challenges
• Build and sustainhigh-performing engineering teams, including hiring, retention, and career development
• Partner closely withProduct Management and cross-functional leadersto deliver on shared goals
• Communicate effectively withtechnical and executive stakeholders, influencing decisions and alignment

What You Bring

• Passion and love of what you do!
• 18+ yearsin software engineering and engineering leadership, deliveringlarge-scale, high-impact systems
• Deep expertise indistributed systems, microservices architectures, and cloud platforms(AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Strong understanding ofsystem design, data structures, algorithms, and engineering best practices
• Solid understanding ofAI and Generative AI, including experience delivering AI-powered capabilities
• Experience leveraging AI to improveengineering efficiency and developer productivityis a plus
• Hands-on familiarity with modern languages and frameworks (e.g.,Java, Python, React)
• Proven ability tolead senior engineering organizationsand influence across functions
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engagetechnical and non-technical audiences
• Pragmatic problem-solver who thrives incomplex, fast-moving environments
• Demonstrated ownership mindset, bias for action, and ability todrive change at scale
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
