One of our B2C portfolio companies is hyper-scaling, and they are now looking to hire a Director of Data Analytics to lead the team.
Responsibilities
- Redesign and optimize data models to support large-scale analytics and faster decision-making
- Define the tools and frameworks for data creation, transformation, and consumption
- Integrate behavioral and transactional data into structured, query-optimized flat tables that support diverse analytics use cases
- Own analytics across mobile, web, marketing, product, and operations data streams
- Partner with product, marketing, CRM, operations, and finance teams to ensure data is democratized and actionable
- Establish data governance, quality standards, and best practices
- Drive adoption of self-service analytics and empower teams
Qualifications
- 8 to 10 years of experience with at least 5 in data analytics leadership
- Strong track record of running analytics across mobile, web, marketing, product, and operations data ecosystems
- Deep technical expertise in data modeling, flat table structures, and query optimization for large-scale systems.
- Strong knowledge of modern data stack (SQL, ETL/ELT, cloud data warehouses like Snowflake/BigQuery/Redshift, BI tools like Looker/PowerBI/Tableau).
- Familiarity with machine learning workflows (data pipelines for ML, feature engineering, model monitoring) and ability to guide data scientists
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth and culturally contextual environment
- Prior experience with B2C products is an advantage
- A passion for the 1 to 10 journey
