Director — Corporate Relations & Placements

| Reports to: Director General / CEO | Bangalore, India

This is the revenue-outcome role of the institution. The Director owns the ₹10 LPA+ placement

target and is responsible for building deep, sustainable corporate relationships that translate into

quality recruitment across all specialisations.

ROLE PURPOSE

To build and manage a high-quality corporate recruiter network that consistently delivers ₹10 LPA+

entry-level offers for PGDM graduates.

To bridge the gap between what the institution produces and what top employers demand -

influencing both curriculum and student development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own and deliver the annual placement target - 100% placement with median CTC ≥ ₹9 LPA

• Build and maintain relationships with HR heads, talent acquisition leaders, and business heads

across target companies

• Design and execute the annual corporate outreach and campus recruitment calendar

• Identify new recruiters across all seven specialisations; deepen relationships with existing ones

• Coordinate with Dean Academics to align curriculum content with recruiter skill expectations

• Oversee live project partnerships - connect companies with student project teams each trimester

• Lead student career preparedness - interview coaching, resume reviews, mock GDs, and

personal branding workshops

• Manage the Corporate Relations Manager and Placement Coordinator

• Constitute and manage the Industry Advisory Board in coordination with the DG

• Track, analyse, and report placement data by specialisation, company, and CTC band every

trimester

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS

• MBA/PGDM from a recognised institution

• Minimum 12 years of experience; at least 5 years in a placement/corporate relations leadership

role at a B-school

• Proven track record of placing students at ₹8 LPA+ median CTC or demonstrably improving

placement outcomes

• Existing relationships with HR and talent acquisition professionals in Bangalore and major metros

• Strong understanding of recruiter expectations across diverse management functions

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills

PREFERRED / DESIRABLE CRITERIA

• Prior industry experience in HR, talent acquisition, or business development

• Network spanning sectors: BFSI, technology, consulting, FMCG, healthcare, and manufacturing

• Familiarity with the Bangalore corporate ecosystem specifically

• Experience designing student career development programs

• Understanding of LinkedIn Recruiter, ATS systems, and modern hiring practices

• At least 2 live industry projects per specialisation per trimester

• Student career readiness score ≥ 4.0/5.0

  • Industry Advisory Board meetings conducted every trimester with ≥ 70% attendance
