Role Overview

The Director of Client Success is accountable for the successful delivery of commercial workspace projects from initial client engagement through project handover and beyond. This role serves as the bridge between Business Development, Design, Project Management, Finance, and Execution teams, ensuring projects are delivered profitably while building long-term client relationships.

The role carries ownership of project P&L, client satisfaction, delivery excellence, and account growth.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Sales & Strategic Planning

  • Partner with the Business Development team to understand client business objectives, operational challenges, and workspace requirements.
  • Lead the strategic direction of project pitches and proposals in collaboration with Design and Cost teams.
  • Ensure proposed solutions are commercially viable, operationally feasible, and aligned with profitability targets.
  • Identify project risks, constraints, and dependencies during the proposal stage and develop mitigation plans.

Project Leadership & Financial Management

  • Act as the primary escalation point for clients and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Align project execution with client KPIs, business objectives, and project goals.
  • Own project profitability through oversight of budgets, cash flows, commercial performance, and financial forecasting.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of project scope, drawings, schedules, budgets, risks, and overall delivery progress.
  • Review project health across key parameters including quality, cost, timeline, stakeholder alignment, and risk management.
  • Cross-verify project status, action items, costs, and timelines with clients, vendors, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Ensure design intent is consistently maintained in project documentation and on-site execution.

Client Success & Stakeholder Management

  • Build trusted relationships with key client stakeholders and serve as their executive point of contact.
  • Facilitate discussions between clients and internal teams to resolve issues, manage expectations, and maintain project momentum.
  • Drive proactive communication and stakeholder alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure a seamless client experience from project initiation through completion.

Project Handover & Account Growth

  • Oversee project handover, client onboarding, technical training, documentation, and commercial closure.
  • Collect client feedback, capture lessons learned, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain long-term client relationships to drive repeat business, referrals, and strategic account growth.
  • Identify opportunities for future engagements and collaborate with the Business Development team to expand existing accounts.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture; postgraduate qualification in Project Management from NICMAR, RICS, or a similar institution preferred.
  • 8–15 years of experience in workspace design, client engagement, project management, or related leadership roles.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project planning, execution, and risk management.

Qualifications & Experience
