Job Description:

As a Director of Channel Marketing, you will be responsible for creating and executing on channel marketing strategies that drives meaningful relationships with our B2C prospects and customers.

The incumbent will be both creative and well-versed in a wide variety of marketing areas, including content, community, and lifecycle marketing. The Director of Marketing will lead in the development, implementation and execution of specific marketing plans. The incumbent will assume responsibility for building and implementing marketing programs, monitor customer needs, and evaluating the effectiveness of the various marketing initiatives.

The Director of Channel Marketing will initially have at least 1 direct report and will be responsible for building a best-in-class marketing team to support the growth of this business until. This individual must be a player coach and be prepared to be a strategic leader and execute on the strategy when needed.

  • Expertise building engaging online communities and creating content marketing based on data and research.
  • Advanced writing and editing skills, and a high bar for quality.
  • A collaborative approach, teaming across functions and with partners.
  • Experience re-purposing existing content into new content types for use in diverse channels.
  • An understanding of modern CMS and UX; ability to supervise content creation on AEM, WordPress, etc.).
  • Experience setting and measuring performance against content and channel metrics.
  • Detailed knowledge of current online tools and marketing trends, including SEO, funnel analytics, community management, etc.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent aptitude for detail and accuracy and analytical skills.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree is required, a master's degree in marketing or an MBA is preferred
  • 10+ years of channel marketing experience at a successful consumer education technology brand.
