Job Overview

The Director of Career Counselling will lead career counselling and employability initiatives under the CSR program. The role will help students identify suitable career pathways, develop employability skills, and connect with higher education, training, internships, and employment opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Career Strategy & Counselling:

  • Develop and implement career counselling strategies aligned with CSR objectives.
  • Lead individual and group counselling, career assessments, and career planning.
  • Guide students on career options, higher education, certifications, internships, and employment.
  • Develop career roadmaps and action plans based on students interests, aptitude, and skills.

Employability & Industry Engagement:

  • Design career-readiness and employability programs.
  • Support students with resume building, interviews, communication, and workplace readiness.
  • Build relationships with employers, industry professionals, educational institutions, and placement partners.
  • Develop opportunities for internships, apprenticeships, placements, mentorship, and industry exposure.

CSR & Community Outreach:

  • Align counselling initiatives with CSR program goals and measurable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with schools, colleges, NGOs, and community organizations.
  • Conduct career awareness camps, workshops, counselling drives, and industry sessions.

Data & Program Impact:

  • Establish KPIs and track counselling, education, internship, and placement outcomes.
  • Use data and student feedback to improve program effectiveness.
  • Prepare regular reports for senior leadership and CSR stakeholders.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the career counselling team.
  • Establish counselling standards and ensure consistent service quality.
  • Coordinate with academic, training, admissions, placement, and administrative teams.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Education, Management, Social Work, Human Resources, Career Counselling, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in career counselling, education, employability, CSR, skilling, or workforce development.
  • Experience leading career counselling, placement, employability, or student-success functions.
  • Experience with CSR, NGO, community education, or social-impact programs is an added advantage.
