We are looking for a highly driven and strategic Director of Business Development to spearhead growth initiatives in the facility management sector. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Growth & Market Expansion
- Develop and execute business development strategies to expand market presence in construction and facility management.
- Identify, evaluate, and pursue new project opportunities in residential, commercial, and industrial segments.
- Drive revenue growth through strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and alliances.
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Build, nurture, and manage long-term relationships with government entities, developers, consultants, contractors, and facility management stakeholders.
- Lead high-value proposal development, RFP responses, and presentations to secure major contracts.
- Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and conferences to strengthen brand visibility.
Commercial & Bid Management
- Oversee bid preparation, contract negotiations, and commercial proposals in collaboration with procurement, finance, and legal teams.
- Ensure competitive positioning while maintaining profitability and compliance.
- Develop pricing strategies that balance competitiveness with sustainable margins.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and mentor a high-performing business development and sales team.
- Work closely with senior leadership to align business development goals with overall corporate strategy.
- Collaborate with technical and operations teams to ensure client expectations are translated into deliverable solutions.
Market Intelligence & Innovation
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to identify risks and opportunities.
- Recommend innovative service models, partnerships, and digital solutions to enhance value proposition.
- Provide regular business performance updates to the leadership team, including forecasts and pipeline analysis.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum 1215 years of experience in business development within the construction and/or facility management industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of securing high-value contracts and driving revenue growth across multiple regions.
- Strong network of contacts with developers, consultants, contractors, and facility management clients in the region.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple complex pursuits simultaneously.
