Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership & Governance

  • Provide vision, direction, and leadership for the institution.
  • Develop and implement short-term and long-term strategic plans.
  • Ensure alignment with the institution's mission, vision, and goals.

2. Academic Excellence

  • Oversee curriculum development, teaching quality, and research initiatives.
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality education and student outcomes.
  • Promote innovation in teaching methodologies and academic programs.

3. Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies such as AICTE, UGC, and affiliating universities.
  • Maintain accreditation standards (NBA/NAAC, if applicable).

4. Administration & Operations

  • Supervise day-to-day institutional operations.
  • Manage faculty, staff, and administrative teams.
  • Ensure effective resource utilization and infrastructure development.

5. Financial Management

  • Prepare and monitor budgets.
  • Ensure financial sustainability and cost control.
  • Explore funding opportunities, grants, and partnerships.

6. Industry & External Relations

  • Build and maintain relationships with industry, corporate partners, and alumni.
  • Promote internships, placements, and live projects.
  • Represent the institution at conferences, seminars, and public forums.

7. Student Development

  • Ensure holistic development of students (academic + extracurricular).
  • Promote discipline, ethics, and professional values.

8. Faculty Development

  • Recruit, mentor, and retain high-quality faculty.
  • Encourage research, publications, and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in a relevant discipline (mandatory for academic institutions).
  • Minimum 15–20 years of experience in academics/industry, with at least 5–10 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong academic and administrative background.
