The Director, International Communications will define, lead and continuously evolve H World's global communications strategy, serving as the senior point of accountability for the company's international reputation, executive visibility and global media engagement.
As the custodian of H World's international corporate narrative, the Director will ensure consistent positioning across strategic priorities including international expansion, H Rewards, sustainability, financial communications and corporate partnerships. Working closely with senior leadership and China communications teams, the role will strengthen H World's profile as one of the world's leading hospitality companies beyond China.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Communications & Reputation
- Define and own H World's international communications strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate priorities and business objectives.
- Lead communication plans for major corporate milestones, including quarterly earnings, strategic partnerships, international expansion, brand launches and other high-profile corporate initiatives.
- Lead the development of high-impact communication materials, including press releases, executive speeches, corporate statements, key messages, Q&A documents, fact sheets and briefing materials for major corporate announcements, executive engagements and media opportunities.
- Lead international issues and crisis communications planning, partnering closely with business leaders and regional teams to ensure preparedness, alignment and rapid response.
Executive Communications
- Develop executive communications strategies that strengthen the visibility, credibility and thought leadership of H World's senior leadership.
- Drive executive positioning through international media, speaking engagements, industry forums and stakeholder platforms.
- Support executives through media counseling, interview preparation, speechwriting, keynote development and spokesperson training.
Media Relations & Corporate Storytelling
- Lead H World's international corporate newsroom, establishing editorial priorities aligned with corporate priorities.
- Identify and develop compelling stories across H World's hotel brands, H Rewards ecosystem, technology innovation, sustainability initiatives and international expansion.
- Build and maintain relationships with leading international business, financial, travel and hospitality media.
- Develop proactive media engagement strategies, including interviews, briefings, editorial opportunities, and executive visibility initiatives.
- Develop integrated communications campaigns that leverage earned, owned and paid channels to maximize the visibility and impact of H World's corporate stories and strategic announcements.
- Manage international PR agency partners and coordinate communications activities across regional markets.

Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in corporate communications, media relations, public affairs, journalism or communications consulting.
- Proven experience developing and executing international communications strategies for a global organization.
- Demonstrated experience advising C-suite executives and supporting high-profile executive communications and media engagements.
- Excellent editorial judgment and writing skills, with the ability to translate complex business priorities into compelling narratives.
- Strong understanding of corporate reputation management, executive communications and international media landscapes.
- Experience managing high-profile corporate announcements, strategic partnerships and issues or crisis communications.
- Experience within the hospitality, travel, luxury, premium lifestyle or related industries is advantageous.
- Experience managing communications for a publicly listed company is strongly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese.
