About the Opportunity

A leading Middle East-based Oil & Gas organization is establishing a new Global Capability Center (GCC) in India and is seeking a Director – GCC Operations & Delivery to help build and scale its operational foundation.

This is a unique opportunity to establish operating models, governance frameworks, service delivery standards, and transition critical business functions into a newly established GCC. The successful candidate will play a key role in scaling the center to 200+ employees while partnering with stakeholders across Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom.

The leader hired into this role will help define how the GCC operates, performs, and delivers value to the organization for years to come.

Key Responsibilities

GCC Operations & Setup

• Support the establishment and growth of the Global Capability Center.

• Design and implement scalable operating models and governance frameworks.

• Define service delivery structures, performance metrics, and operational standards.

• Establish operational controls and best practices across functions.

• Develop strategic plans to support GCC growth and capability expansion.

Service Delivery & Transformation

• Lead the transition of critical business functions into the GCC.

• Develop and implement service management and delivery frameworks.

• Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Ensure service quality, efficiency, and stakeholder satisfaction.

• Establish KPI, SLA, and performance governance mechanisms.

Leadership & Team Management

• Build and lead high-performing operations and delivery teams.

• Establish performance management and capability development frameworks.

• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Support workforce growth and organizational scaling initiatives.

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with senior business leaders across Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom.

• Manage stakeholder expectations and drive alignment on delivery objectives.

• Act as a trusted advisor on GCC operations, governance, and transformation initiatives.

Operational Excellence

• Drive process optimization, automation, and transformation initiatives.

• Implement governance, risk, and compliance frameworks.

• Leverage performance metrics and business insights to improve operational outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in operations, service delivery, shared services, or GCC leadership roles.

• Proven experience establishing or scaling a GCC, GBS, Shared Services, or Captive Center.

• Strong expertise in operating model design, governance, and service delivery management.

• Experience transitioning business functions and scaling delivery teams.

• Demonstrated success leading transformation and operational excellence initiatives.

• Strong stakeholder management and leadership capabilities.

• Experience working within global and multicultural environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Oil & Gas or other regulated-industry experience preferred.

• Experience supporting greenfield GCC setup initiatives.

• Familiarity with ERP, ServiceNow, automation, and transformation platforms.

• Lean Six Sigma or related process excellence certifications preferred.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree (Mandatory)

• MBA / PGDM - Operations, General Management, Business Strategy, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline (Preferred)
