About the Role

Virginia Transformer is seeking a highly experienced and execution-focused Director – Infrastructure & Cyber Security to lead the stabilization, modernization, and transformation of the enterprise IT environment.

The role is responsible for ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable technology operations across all business locations while building a modern, cloud-enabled, and policy-driven infrastructure and cybersecurity framework. This is a build-and-stabilize leadership position requiring strong technical expertise, operational discipline, and the ability to drive enterprise-wide transformation within a fast-growing organization.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Leadership & Modernization

Lead enterprise infrastructure operations including networks, servers, endpoints, and cloud platforms.

Standardize infrastructure across all locations and manufacturing facilities.

Establish lifecycle management processes for devices, systems, and enterprise platforms.

Drive adoption of hybrid and cloud-first architectures where appropriate.

Ensure high availability, redundancy, disaster recovery readiness, and operational stability.

Cybersecurity & Risk Management

Lead the enterprise cybersecurity program aligned with business objectives and operational requirements.

Implement endpoint protection, identity management, and access control frameworks.

Deploy and manage technologies including Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, Microsoft Defender, and DLP solutions.

Oversee vulnerability assessments, threat detection, incident response, and risk mitigation processes.

Enterprise Data Protection

Execute enterprise-wide data protection and device security strategies.

Lead cloud-based data migration initiatives such as OneDrive adoption and reduction of local data dependencies.

Ensure business continuity while maintaining strong governance and data control measures.

Operations & Service Management

Establish and implement a structured Plan–Build–Run operating model.

Drive IT service management (ITSM) processes including Incident, Change, and Problem Management.

Improve SLA-based service delivery, operational performance tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Vendor & Asset Management

Optimize vendor management and procurement processes for IT infrastructure and services.

Standardize device configuration, provisioning, and deployment practices.

Implement asset lifecycle management and cost control measures.

Plant IT & OT Collaboration

Partner with plant operations teams to support secure integration of PLCs and shop floor systems.

Balance cybersecurity requirements with manufacturing uptime and operational continuity.

Team Leadership

Build, lead, and develop a high-performing infrastructure and cybersecurity team.

Establish accountability, performance metrics, and development plans across the department.

Strengthen internal technical capabilities and enterprise-wide IT expertise.

Governance & Compliance

Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and audit requirements.

Implement IT policies, governance frameworks, and internal controls.

Maintain audit readiness and support internal and external audits.

Key Deliverables (First 6–12 Months)

Stabilization of enterprise infrastructure operations.

Implementation of enterprise security baselines and controls.

Deployment of endpoint protection and identity management frameworks.

Execution of data protection and cloud migration initiatives.

Standardization of provisioning and enterprise asset management processes.

Establishment of ITSM frameworks and operational discipline.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.

12–18+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and cybersecurity leadership roles.

Strong expertise in Microsoft ecosystem technologies including Azure, Intune, Entra ID, and Microsoft Defender.

Proven experience in hybrid cloud environments and enterprise IT transformation initiatives.

Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments strongly preferred.

Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity frameworks, and enterprise systems.

Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.

Preferred Skills

Experience implementing enterprise-wide cybersecurity and data protection programs.

Familiarity with OT/IT integration in manufacturing environments.

Strong knowledge of ITSM frameworks and service delivery models.

Experience leading large-scale infrastructure modernization initiatives.
