Job Description

Lead a high-performing engineering pod responsible for building critical platform capabilities in a global logistics SaaS product.
Define technical strategy, system architecture, coding standards, and scalable design principles aligned with business OKRs.
Own end-to-end delivery of quarterly goals, ensuring execution against timelines with strong visibility into velocity, risks, and dependencies.
Drive engineering excellence through robust sprint planning, code reviews, CI/CD practices, and strong observability and release quality gates.
Build and grow a high-performing team by hiring, mentoring, and coaching engineers while fostering a culture of ownership and continuous learning.
Partner closely with Product, Design, QA, and DevOps teams to align priorities, resolve constraints, and deliver impactful, reliable solutions at scale.

The Successful Applicant

8-12 years of software engineering experience with 3+ years in engineering leadership roles, ideally in SaaS environments.
Strong backend engineering foundation with hands-on expertise in scalable system design, APIs, databases, and distributed systems.
Proven track record of leading and growing high-performing engineering teams, including hiring, mentoring, and building strong engineering cultures.
Deep understanding of modern engineering practices including CI/CD, test automation, observability, and multi-layered testing (unit, integration, performance).
Strong execution and ownership mindset with the ability to drive delivery, manage multiple initiatives, and ensure reliability, scalability, and quality.
Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, with experience working closely with Product, Design, QA, and DevOps to balance technical and business priorities.
Prior experience in early-stage, high-growth start-ups (e.g., joining around Series A and scaling through Series C/D) is highly valued, especially in environments requiring strong ownership and adaptability.
