Celestica's Product Solutions Team has an opening for a Director, Technical Product Line Manager. This individual must possess a strong technical networking software background who can drive the SONiC roadmap at a detailed level with our team, and perform competitive analysis. The position would have a strong external component working directly with customers, partners, and our sales teams to gather feedback and create technical collateral. Also, the successful candidate is someone visible in the community/industry comfortable presenting technical solutions at conferences and other public events.

The ideal candidate has experience with hardware and software product management, understands the full product lifecycle (cradle to grave), and has strong program management experience with ongoing parallel projects. The candidate will own all commercial aspects of products and should possess strong analytical abilities and judgment and be an active contributor in setting up processes to increase the impact of strong product management practices. This opportunity requires excellent business, technical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Detailed Description

• Extensive experience with customer engagements, product management, engineering, and partner community to accelerate the adoption of networking products and technologies. Trusted advisor in building technical and business credibility with key stakeholders by representing the voice of the customer to influence architecture decisions.
• Passionate and seasoned presenter experienced at delivering in-depth product presentations and demonstrations at all levels. Experienced implementing solutions that operate deep in the technology stack that includes routing, switching, IP network protocols, enterprise/ DC networks, routing protocols and monitoring. 
• Ownership of commercial deployments of product solutions for networking/switching/routing (primary), storage, and server products
• Keep abreast of new technologies, market trends and customer requirements for networking, storage and server products
• Create and drive approval on business cases for products going to market, including product pricing.
• Manage customer sample systems (requirements, management, allocation, recovery, etc.)
• Review/approve engineering change requests from development and customers

• Strong project management skills and experience, including managing internal and external stakeholders, and multiple launches and projects at once
• Proven success in managing complex and multi-faceted hardware product programs with the ability to drive projects through completion
• Demonstrated ability to problem solve and ensure deadlines are met and expectations exceeded
• Must thrive in a work-from-home environment
• Expect 10-25% travel (international and domestic) when it is safe to travel.

Physical Demands

Typical Experience

• 10+ years of relevant product management experience for complex Hardware and Software products
• Experience at a Service Provider or Enterprise company preferred.
• Recent experience in a fast-paced, multinational technology company

Typical Education

• BS in Engineering with a strong background in business and/or marketing
• MBA is preferred
