Job Description

This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to Adobe's flagship and award-winning products in a platform-agnostic manner, using cutting-edge tools and technologies in cloud, desktop, and AI (Artificial Intelligence) domains.

You will work collaboratively with Product, Design, Program Managers, and the Product Marketing team to define and deliver product roadmaps. Your responsibilities will also include direct customer interaction, understanding their needs, and delivering exceptional product experiences.

What You'll Do-

As Director of Engineering in the Acrobat Sign group, based in Noida and Bangalore, you will:

  • Lead multiple engineering teams, including multi-tiered managers reporting to you
  • Understand business goals by working closely with executive leadership, PM, PMM, and Design teams
  • Drive strategy, architecture, and development goals for various products based on strategic priorities
  • Ensure products and solutions are delivered on schedule and with high quality
  • Inspire your teams to innovate and improve
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to define and refine product roadmaps
  • Review, approve, and supervise project plans and delivery schedules
  • Ensure optimal staffing and talent allocation across development teams
  • Act as an Innovation Catalyst to champion new ideas
  • Evangelize your products and features internally and externally
  • Uphold Adobe's values and standards, ensuring compliance with product development policies and people management best practices
  • Build customer trust and serve as a trusted advisor
  • Promote cross-team collaboration and reuse of technologies
  • Participate in hiring top talent for both the Document Cloud group and broader Adobe needs
  • Work closely with US-based leadership to align on vision and execution

What You Need to Succeed-

  • 18+ years of experience in software development and engineering leadership, including 8+ years in people management
  • Proven track record of delivering sophisticated, enterprise-grade, high-impact projects
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a second-level manager, managing multiple teams
  • Experience working under or with US-based leadership; experience working in the US is a plus
  • Expertise in building large-scale distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native architecture
  • Strong experience with Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, React, and cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure)
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, owning outcomes, and demonstrating a strong bias to action
  • Highly self-motivated, with a passion for mentoring and driving team excellence
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Ability to influence and align cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science from a premier institute
