One of our clients, a global technology leader in the semiconductor domain, is looking for an experienced Director – Electronic Design Automation Engineering & Transformation to define and execute the strategy for enterprise-scale engineering transformation.
This is a high-impact leadership opportunity to shape the future of engineering across Digital Design, Analog/Mixed-Signal Design, System Modeling, Engineering Applications, Infrastructure, and AI-enabled engineering workflows.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute the long-term strategy and roadmap for EDA Engineering and Engineering Transformation.
- Drive enterprise adoption of AI/ML, Generative AI, and intelligent automation across engineering workflows.
- Align technology investments with business priorities to improve productivity, quality, performance, and time-to-market.
- Identify and scale next-generation engineering capabilities that create competitive advantage.
Engineering & Technology
- Lead differentiated EDA methodologies, engineering platforms, automation frameworks, and AI-enabled solutions.
- Oversee capabilities spanning Digital Design, Analog/Mixed-Signal Design, System Analysis & Modeling, Design Applications, and Engineering Infrastructure.
- Drive strategic build-vs-buy decisions and maximize value from EDA and technology partnerships.
- Establish scalable, reusable platforms that enable engineering excellence across the organization.
Executive & Stakeholder Leadership
- Partner with global engineering, product development, technology, and enterprise IT leaders.
- Shape technology roadmaps, priorities, and investment strategies.
- Influence decisions across complex, globally distributed and matrixed organizations.
- Communicate strategy, progress, and measurable business impact to executive leadership.
Organizational Leadership
- Build and lead a high-performing organization of technical leaders, software engineers, EDA specialists, data scientists, and platform engineering teams.
- Foster a culture of innovation, customer focus, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Develop future technical and organizational leaders and build a strong succession pipeline.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- 18+ years of experience across EDA, engineering software, engineering platforms, AI/ML, or related technology domains.
- Proven experience leading large engineering organizations, including managers and senior technical leaders.
- Demonstrated success delivering enterprise-scale technology or engineering transformation.
Preferred
- Master's degree or PhD in a relevant technical discipline.
- Deep understanding of EDA methodologies and complex engineering environments.
- Experience building engineering software platforms, automation frameworks, and AI-enabled engineering solutions.
- Strong executive stakeholder management and influencing capabilities.
- Proven ability to define strategy, execute multi-year roadmaps, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational leadership skills.
