Role Overview
Director - Design Consultancy is a commercially driven leadership role responsible forowning revenue targets, building a robust sales pipeline, and converting consultancy engagements into high-value design-and-build mandates.You are Zyeta's frontline revenue leader in design consultancy — the person who turns creative vision into signed mandates and long-term client partnerships.

You will lead a multidisciplinary design consultancy team, mentor talent, and be a key voice in positioning Zyeta as most trusted design-led workspace brand. This role holds P&L accountability for the consultancy practice and is expected to drive measurable revenue, margin, and client retention outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Revenue Ownership
- Own and drive the annual revenue target for Zyeta's design consultancy practice.
- Build, manage, and grow a qualified pipeline of enterprise and mid-market clients across sectors.
- Lead the end-to-end sales process: prospecting, discovery, proposal, pitching, negotiation, and closure.
- Convert design consultancy engagements into full-scale design-and-build mandates
- Track, report, and forecast revenue performance against targets using structured CRM and pipeline hygiene.
- Identify and pursue new revenue streams, geographies, and client verticals to scale the consultancy business.
Design Consultancy & Client Engagement
- Lead high-impact client presentations, workshops, and design strategy discussions that differentiate Zyeta on creativity and insight.
- Translate client business objectives, culture, and operational needs into compelling design concepts and space narratives.
- Guide clients through workplace strategy, space optimization, sustainability, and user experience as a trusted advisor.
- Act as design thought leader in the sales process — your creative vision must complement and reinforce the commercial proposition.
- Ensure seamless incorporation of client feedback into design thinking while maintaining design integrity and quality standards.
- Oversee the design lifecycle from brief to concept, ensuring every deliverable is of the highest aesthetic and functional quality.
- Conduct regular design reviews and quality audits to ensure innovation and consistency across all consultancy projects.
Strategic Leadership & Brand Positioning
- Define and execute the strategic roadmap for the design consultancy function in alignment with Zyeta's commercial goals.
- Position Zyeta as a thought leader in workplace design consultancy through content, engagements, and industry presence.
- Build a culture of sales-mindedness, creativity, accountability, and commercial excellence across the consultancy team.
- Identify opportunities to improve consultancy profitability, project margins, and client satisfaction metrics.
Team Development & Leadership
- Mentor, guide, and develop a high-performing multidisciplinary design consultancy team.
- Build strong commercial acumen and client-handling skills within the design team.
- Foster a high-performance environment where creativity, accountability, and revenue focus coexist.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related design discipline.
- MBA or equivalent business qualification will be a strong advantage.
- Certifications in sustainable design (LEED, WELL) will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 12+ years of experience in design consultancy, workplace design, or interior architecture — with a clear commercial track record.
- Direct responsibility for sales targets, BD outcomes, or revenue growth.
- Proven track record of independently sourcing, pitching, and closing high-value design or workplace consultancy mandates.
- Demonstrated ability to convert design consultancy engagements into broader design-and-build or integrated delivery contracts.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong expertise in workplace strategy, user experience, sustainability, and design innovation.
- Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, and visualization platforms ability to engage credibly in technical design conversations.
- Excellent CRM discipline, pipeline management, and revenue forecasting capabilities.
- Outstanding presentation, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercial acumen: margin awareness, pricing strategy, and P&L ownership.
