Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Director - Delivery Management to lead complex IT delivery programs and ensure excellence across large-scale client engagements. This role demands a results-driven leader with a proven track record of managing global portfolios, driving innovation, and building high-performing teams while maintaining strong client relationships at the executive level.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee theend-to-end delivery lifecyclefor client engagements, including strategic planning, implementation, governance, and post-implementation support
  • Ensure delivery metrics such asscope, schedule adherence, quality, budget compliance, and operational KPIs are consistently met across all engagements
  • Managemulti-project portfoliosand large cross-functional teams, ensuring collaboration across domains like engineering, quality assurance, business analysis, architecture, and DevOps
  • Own theprogram governance model (SteerCo, WSR, MSR), engaging stakeholders at all delivery levels to maintain alignment on key deliverables and risks
  • Take full accountability for thefinancial healthof the client portfolio, including revenue recognition, profitability, and margin improvement
  • Performbudget forecasting, variance analysis, and corrective action planning to meet financial targets
  • Identify areas for cost optimization and driveOPEX reductionthrough automation, resource optimization, or enhanced delivery models
  • Monitorresource utilizationand productivity metrics across multiple projects
  • Serve as the primary client liaison forsenior-level relationships(e.g., Directors, VPs, CXOs)
  • Translate client business challenges into actionable delivery strategies and maintain alignment with client objectives
  • Regularly conductSteering Committee (SteerCo)sessions and executive-level communication to provide delivery updates and propose innovations
  • Build, lead, and mentor large distributed teams of100-150+ resourcesacrossnearshore, offshore, and onshore delivery locations
  • Design workforce optimization strategies to align the right resources for the program's delivery outcomes
  • Cultivate high-performing teams and drive talent development through mentoring and coaching
  • Mediate resource conflicts and escalations while ensuring delivery deadlines are met
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigateprogram risksto ensure delivery schedules and client KPIs are not impacted
  • Plan for contingencies by implementing robust mitigation actions and escalation protocols
  • Ensure continuity of services during high-pressure situations like transitions or operational bottlenecks
  • Identifyup-sell/cross-sell opportunitieswithin accounts and develop strategies for expanding EPAM's footprint
  • Partner withsales and pre-sales teamsto contribute toRFPs, SOWs, and business proposals
  • Work with Account Managers to leverage successful delivery outcomes for growing client engagements further
  • Drivenew logo acquisitionsby showcasing delivery leadership and engineering excellence
  • Drivecontinuous innovationfor client projects through automation, process enhancements, and the adoption of emerging technologies
  • Promote best practices across delivery teams, ensuring clients benefit from EPAM's cutting-edge solutions likecloud-native apps, data platforms, AI/ML, andDevOps pipelines
  • Regularly conduct retrospectives and implement improvements to delivery frameworks

Requirements

  • 20-25 years of IT program delivery experience, with at least5-7 years in leadership roles (Senior Manager, Delivery Lead, etc.),handling cross-functional teams and global portfolios
  • Proven experience managingmulti-million-dollar client accounts and portfolios
  • Strong experience withonshore-offshore delivery models, managing and scaling distributed teams efficiently
  • Expertise in large-scaleenterprise programsacross industries such as BFSI, Telecom, Healthcare, Retail, or Life Sciences
  • Strong ability to influence and managesenior-level client stakeholders(Directors, VPs, CXOs) while building trusted relationships
  • Pragmatic leadership approach to resolve escalations, handle conflicts within delivery teams, and overcome program challenges effectively
  • Experience mentoring delivery teams andbuilding leadership pipelineswithin the organization
  • Familiarity with modern technologies and delivery methods, including Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Microservices & DevOps, Data analytics platforms (Tableau, Power BI, BigQuery), and Automation frameworks likeRPA (UiPath, Blue Prism)
  • Understanding ofITIL/ITSM frameworksand SLA-driven managed services delivery
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies (Scrum, SAFe) and traditionalWaterfall-based delivery
  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and decision-making skills for managing high-pressure situations and escalating delivery performance
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and deliver results under challenging timelines
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal abilities for fostering team and client collaboration
