Job Description
Based in Gurugram, the Oracle Cloud Director is part of Global Finance Operations (GFO), Controllership, Finance. The role is responsible to drive success for AXP Finance transition of Oracle from On Prem to Cloud Infrastructure, by leading the end-to-end migration of core financial accounting and close processes from on-premises Oracle systems to Oracle Cloud. The Director will manage a team of 12-15 colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Lead transition of Oracle from On Prem to Cloud Infrastructure in partnership with Product Owners and Technology
- Partner with process owners, SI and stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, ensuring Cloud capabilities effectively meet financial and accounting needs.
- Manage Fit-Gap Analysis, Solution Design, Data Migration, Configuration, Testing, and Post-Go-Live Support for core finance modules.
- Leverage Oracle Cloud ERP capabilities to eliminate legacy customizations, enhance controls, and drive standardization and process improvements.
- Ensure timely execution of deliverables, monitor progress against milestones, identify emerging risks, and create dashboards and reports for leadership review.
- Managing the organizational changes that come with the implementation of a new ERP system, including communication and training strategies.
- Foster strong collaboration across Finance, Technology, and external partners to ensure smooth integration and alignment with enterprise architecture.
- Ensure robust governance and control frameworks are embedded within system design and execution.
- Promote an agile, solutions-oriented mindset across teams, ensuring adaptability to evolving program needs.
- Lead and mentor a team of Managers and Analysts to drive process excellence and successful deployment across the Finance organization.
Qualifications
- B.COM/B. Tech/MBA/Postgraduate with a minimum of 10-12 years of experience.
- Hands on experience in leading & delivering Technology Capabilities (Oracle & specifically Cloud experience is an added advantage).
- People leadership experience leading large (10+) size teams.
- Good functional knowledge of Finance specifically in the areas of financial accounting, close and reporting.
- Project & Change management exposure, including establishing new processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong customer management experience.
- Superior attention to details, along with exemplary organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Must be results-driven and proactive with the ability to manage multiple projects and work within tight timelines.
