JOB SYNOPSIS

The Director Cloud, AI, DevOps & IT Infrastructure will be responsible for defining, building, securing, and scaling Excellon Software's end-to-end IT and cloud infrastructure. This role will provide strategic and hands-on leadership across infrastructure, cloud platforms, DevOps, cybersecurity, compliance, AI infrastructure, and enterprise systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of all technology assets. Coordinates and identifies architecture and design of scalable, performant and cost-effective infrastructure, and management solutions. The role demands strong technical depth, strategic thinking, financial acumen, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams while partnering closely with business and product stakeholders.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Infrastructure & Cloud Leadership

Coordinates and identifies architecture and design of scalable, performant and cost-effective infrastructure, and management solutions.

Collaborates and engages with cross-functional teams to champion and drive support

Own and lead the organization's IT infrastructure strategy, covering on-prem, hybrid, and cloud environments.

Design, implement, and manage highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure, with strong emphasis on Microsoft Azure.

Oversee networking, hardware, servers, storage, virtualization, and data center operations.

Ensure infrastructure readiness for Dealer Management Software platforms.

Cloud, Data Lake & Messaging Platforms

Lead architecture and operations for Kafka-based streaming and messaging platforms.

Manage and optimize data infrastructure using tools such as MinIO, Apache Spark, Data Lake stack (Apache Iceberg).

Provide oversight of Redis, NoSQL, and MongoDB infrastructure environments.

Ensure reliability, performance tuning, monitoring, and disaster recovery for all platforms.

DevOps & Automation

Define and manage Kubernetes Deployment, Azure AKS deployment and DevOps strategy, CI/CD pipelines,infrastructure automation, and platform reliability engineering.

Enable faster and more reliable deployments through automation, containerization, and orchestration practices.

Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure infrastructure supports agile and scalable product delivery.

AI & Advanced Technology Infrastructure

Lead or support deployment of AI solutions, including infrastructure design and execution.

Design, build, or manage AI-ready infrastructure to support ML, analytics, and data-driven workloads.

Ensure scalability, performance, and cost optimization of AI and data platforms.

Cybersecurity, Compliance & Risk Management

Own IT compliance, cybersecurity, and risk management across the organization.

Establish and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices.

Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, audit, and internal governance requirements.

Lead incident response, vulnerability management, and business continuity planning.

Vendor, Costing & Budget Management

Manage vendor relationships, SLAs, licensing, procurement, and negotiations.

Drive costing, budgeting, forecasting, and optimization of infrastructure and cloud spend.

Evaluate and onboard strategic technology partners and service providers.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

Lead, mentor, and scale high-performing infrastructure, cloud, DevOps, and security teams.

Build strong partnerships with business leaders, product teams, and external stakeholders.

Translate business objectives into scalable and secure infrastructure solutions.

Provide regular reporting, metrics, and insights to senior leadership.

Develops, manages, and reports Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for departmental activities.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

1820+ years of overall experience, preferably in an IT Product Development company.

Strong domain exposure to ERP, CRM, and Dealer Management Software (preferred).

Proven expertise in:

o Networking, hardware, servers, storage, and cloud infrastructure

o Microsoft Azure (strong hands-on and architectural experience)

o Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS)

o Kafka and distributed messaging systems

o Data Lake systems such as MinIO, Apache Spark, Apache Trino, Apache Iceberg, Apache Nessie

o Redis, NoSQL, MongoDB infrastructure

o DevOps practices, CI/CD, automation

o IT compliance, cybersecurity, and risk management

Experience in AI infrastructure or AI solution deployment/design.

Strong background in vendor management, budgeting, and cost control.

Proven ability to manage large teams and senior stakeholders.
