Director – Campus Operations & Student Affairs

Location: University of Colorado Denver (CU Denver) – Hyderabad India Campus

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer / Chief Business Officer

Role Summary

The Director – Campus Operations & Student Affairs will lead the end-to-end operational and student-facing functions of CU Denver's Hyderabad India Campus. This is a key leadership role during campus establishment and growth, responsible for ensuring that the campus runs safely, efficiently, inclusively, and in a manner consistent with CU Denver and CU System expectations.

The ideal candidate will possess strong operational acumen, an empathetic approach to student well-being, and a collaborative mindset to work cross-functionally with academic, administrative, and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Campus Operations & Administration

• Oversee day-to-day campus operations, including premises and infrastructure, facilities, security, housekeeping, transport or access arrangements, technology-enabled services, and vendor performance for the Hyderabad campus.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Indian and Telangana health, safety, accessibility, safeguarding, fire, environmental, and other regulatory requirements, while driving sustainability, resilience, and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Lead budgeting, procurement, and resource planning for operational departments.
• Serve as the campus point-of-contact for external facility and service partners.
  
  

Student Affairs & Experience

• Design and implement student-affairs policies and progra m mes that promote well-being, academic support, belonging, student success, and community engagement for a diverse India-campus population.
• Oversee student services such as orientation, counselling, grievance redressal, extracurricular activities, and event planning.
• Work closely with academic and admissions teams to ensure seamless student onboarding and retention processes.
• Develop initiatives that foster a safe, inclusive, and vibrant campus environment.
  
  

Leadership & Governance

• Lead a team of operational managers, student services staff, and support personnel.
• Act as a key member of the campus leadership team contributing to strategy, execution, and cross-departmental coordination.
• Represent the Hyderabad India Campus in meetings with local authorities, service partners, community stakeholders, CU Denver leadership, and other institutional partners.
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors/ Master's degree in Management, Administration, Operations or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in campus operations, facilities management, student affairs, or integrated university administration—preferably in higher education, an international institution, or a complex multi-stakeholder environment.
• Proven leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication, crisis management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
