Practice Director - AWS
Lead the strategy, growth, and delivery of the GenAI and Agentic AI practice across AWS, Google Cloud, and Open Source. AWS is the primary focus of this role, with Google Cloud and Open Source as complementary pillars.
Key ResponsibilitiesPractice Strategy & Growth
- Define and execute the vision, roadmap, and go-to-market strategy for the practice, with AWS as the anchor.
- Own practice-level outcomes across revenue, margin, capability depth, delivery quality, and client success.
Technology Focus
Drive depth and scale across:
- AWS ecosystem (primary) such as AWS Core Services, Amazon Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker, Amazon Q, Amazon OpenSearch, and AWS Data & Analytics services.
- Google Cloud ecosystem such as Vertex AI, Gemini, Google AI Studio, Vertex AI Agent Builder, BigQuery, and Vertex AI Vector Search.
- Open Source ecosystem such as Hugging Face and leading foundation models, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Haystack, vector databases, and LLMOps and Responsible AI tooling.
- Multi-agent frameworks commonly used, such as LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, LlamaIndex Agents, Agents for Bedrock, and Vertex AI Agent Builder.
Capability & Team Development
- Build and scale a multi-disciplinary team of AI architects, engineers, and consultants.
- Drive the certification agenda and structured competency frameworks, with AWS certifications as the priority.
- Foster a culture of innovation through internal hackathons, learning paths, and Responsible AI practices.
Pre-Sales, Proposals & Solutioning
- Lead pre-sales, RFP/RFI responses, solution architecture, and executive client conversations.
- Shape deal strategies, pricing, and differentiated win themes with sales leadership.
- Build reusable accelerators, reference architectures, and industry-specific IP.
Hyperscaler Partnerships & Alliances
- Own strategic partnerships with AWS (priority) and Google Cloud, including competencies, specializations, co-sell motions, funding programs, and joint go-to-market initiatives.
- Represent Happiest Minds at AWS, Google Cloud, and open source flagship events, and drive thought leadership through whitepapers, blogs, and speaking engagements.
Solution Delivery Excellence
- Provide executive oversight on delivery quality, governance, architecture reviews, and risk management.
- Ensure Responsible AI, security, and compliance standards across all engagements.
- Champion open source contributions and community engagement.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 18+ years of overall IT experience, with significant leadership tenure in practice or Center of Excellence roles.
- Deep, hands-on experience with the AWS ecosystem is mandatory.
- Strong experience with the Google Cloud and Open Source ecosystems for GenAI and Agentic AI.
- Proven experience delivering GenAI and Agentic AI solutions at enterprise scale, using multi-agent frameworks, is mandatory.
- Demonstrated success in pre-sales, large deal shaping, and proposal leadership.
- Established relationships within the AWS partner ecosystem are strongly preferred; Google Cloud partner experience is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science; MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
