Director - AI Practice & Solutions, India

Location: Hyderabad, India

Experience: 12–18+ years

Role Overview

We are looking for a high-impact Director - AI Practice & Solutions to build, scale, and lead our AI capabilities in India. This role demands a strong technical leader who can drive solutioning, guide engineering teams, engage with customers, and contribute to business growth.

This is not a project/program management role—it is a hands-on technical leadership + practice building role with ownership across delivery, capability development, and market expansion.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Leadership & Solutioning

  • Act as a Strong Technical Capability Lead for AI/ML and related technologies
  • Drive end-to-end solution architecture for AI-led engagements
  • Provide hands-on technical guidance to teams on design, development, and deployment
  • Review and ensure high-quality, scalable, and production-ready solutions
  • Stay current with evolving AI trends (GenAI, LLMs, MLOps, etc.) and apply them in delivery

2. Practice Building (AI)

  • Build and scale the AI Practice in India aligned with Oteemo's global vision
  • Define capabilities, offerings, accelerators, and reusable assets
  • Develop AI service lines (e.g., GenAI, AI/ML, Data Science, MLOps)
  • Mentor and grow a high-performing AI engineering team
  • Drive hiring strategy, capability development, and certifications

3. Delivery Oversight (Hands-on)

  • Work closely with teams on technical problem-solving and execution
  • Ensure best practices in AI engineering, DevOps, and cloud are followed
  • Step in as a technical anchor in critical engagements
  • Balance architecture, coding guidance, and delivery excellence

4. Account Management & Customer Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with key customer stakeholders
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients
  • Participate in account planning, solution discussions, and technical workshops
  • Support pre-sales, proposals, and client presentations

5. Business Growth & Market Presence

  • Contribute to revenue growth through AI-led opportunities
  • Identify and drive upsell and cross-sell opportunities
  • Collaborate with leadership on go-to-market strategies
  • Represent Oteemo at industry events, conferences, and client forums
  • Build strategic partnerships and ecosystem relationships

6. Cross-Practice Collaboration

  • Work across Oteemo service offerings such as:
  • Cloud & DevOps
  • Platform Engineering
  • SRE / Infrastructure
  • Bring AI-led enhancements into existing offerings
  • Leverage experience/exposure to multi-domain capabilities

Key Skills & Qualifications

Technical Expertise

  • Strong experience in AI/ML, GenAI, and Data Engineering ecosystems
  • Hands-on expertise in:
  • Python, ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.)
  • LLMs, prompt engineering, vector databases
  • Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
  • MLOps & scalable AI deployment
  • Proven ability to design and lead complex AI solutions

Leadership & Business Skills

  • Demonstrated experience in building and scaling practices/COEs
  • Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in account management and revenue growth
  • Ability to blend technology with business outcomes

Experience

  • 12–18+ years in technology, with recent focus on AI/ML
  • Experience in IT services / consulting environment
  • Prior exposure to global delivery models
  • Experience working across multiple service offerings (preferred)

  • Growth of AI practice (team size, capabilities, offerings)
  • Revenue contribution from AI initiatives
  • Customer satisfaction and account expansion
  • Quality and scalability of delivered solutions
