Business Unit Operations Manager - Retail AI

Location: Bengaluru, India

Reporting To: Chief, Retail AI

About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Unit Operations Manager to serve as the strategic right hand and trusted advisor to the Chief, Retail AI. This role acts as a force multiplier for the BU leadership, driving operational excellence, business performance, strategic execution, and cross-functional alignment across the Retail AI business.

The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen, analytical rigor, stakeholder management skills, and execution excellence to help scale a fast-growing AI-led business.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Business Execution

• Partner with the Chief, Retail AI to drive annual planning and long-term business strategy.
• Define, track, and govern BU OKRs, KPIs, and strategic initiatives.
• Lead cross-functional projects and special initiatives that span multiple teams.
• Ensure timely execution of key business priorities and strategic goals.
  
  

Operations & Governance

• Own the BU operating rhythm, including leadership reviews, QBRs, business reviews, and town halls.
• Drive organizational alignment, accountability, and execution discipline.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and implement scalable processes.
  
  

Financial & Business Performance Management

• Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning.
• Monitor revenue, profitability, utilization, and other key business metrics.
• Develop executive dashboards and performance reviews to support decision-making.
  
  

Executive Support & Communications

• Prepare executive briefings, presentations, business reviews, and leadership updates.
• Act as a liaison between the BU Head and functional leaders across Enablement functions
• Manage information flow, prioritize critical issues, and help amplify leadership effectiveness.
  
  

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Technology, or related field.
• MBA from a premier institution preferred.
  
  

Experience

• 5-8 years of experience in Business Operations, Corporate Strategy, Management Consulting, Program Management, or related roles.
• Experience supporting senior business leaders in technology, SaaS, AI, analytics, or digital businesses is preferred.
