Job Description

UPS System Maintenance Engineer Role Summary

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair UPS systems to ensure uninterrupted power for critical infrastructure. Provide technical support to clients and manage project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Install & Commission UPS systems, transfer switches, and power distribution units
• Maintain & Repair AC/DC power systems, batteries (Li-ion/NiCad/SLA), capacitors, and associated hardware
• Troubleshoot faults using diagnostic tools; provide remote/onsite corrective support during critical failures
• Customer Engagement — assess power requirements, recommend solutions, and train clients on UPS operation
• Documentation — produce service reports, maintain maintenance records, and read/provide single line diagrams
• Project Management — coordinate with teams and subcontractors to deliver on time and within budget
• Safety — adhere to all electrical safety regulations and procedures
  
  

Qualifications

Required:

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
  
  

Preferred

• Experience with 3-phase UPS systems in data center environments
• Knowledge of power distribution, ATS, PDU, SKRU, and energy management systems
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-diagnostic skills
• Ability to read electrical one-line schematics
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
  
  

Additional Requirements

• Willingness to work after-hours/weekends at short notice
• Daily travel to customer sites
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently
