Festivals From India is hiring on behalf of their client, The Chennai Photo Biennale Darkroom, for a Darkroom Digitisation Technician. You will manage the scanning and digital workflow within the lab — ensuring that film is digitised accurately, consistently, and delivered on time. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role that requires focus, technical understanding, and the ability to maintain quality across repetitive processes.

- The vetting process for this role comprises 2-3 rounds of interviews and may be followed by a brief assignment.

- This is an on-site, full-time position based in Kottivakkam, Chennai.
- Salary band for this role is available upon request.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Photography, Visual Arts, Media, or a related field.
Essential Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience
- Proficiency in Lightroom and/or Photoshop.
- Solid understanding of exposure, colour, and image quality.
- Working knowledge of film photography and digitisation processes
- Comfortable working in a hands-on lab environment.
- Preferred experience in archival digitisation, darkroom or film photography.
- Basic video shooting/documentation skills.
