Job Description
We are looking for a talented and highly motivated
SAR Signal Processing Research Engineer to join our team. You will play a key role in developing and implementing cutting-edge algorithms for processing and analyzing Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) data. This role covers the entire research lifecycle, from theoretical concept development to practical algorithm implementation and testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research on advanced signal processing techniques for SAR data, including:
- Image formation algorithms
- New modes of radar operation
- Super-resolution techniques
- Develop, implement, and test new SAR/radar signal processing algorithms in high-performance computing environments (Python, MATLAB).
- Analyze and interpret SAR processing algorithm results and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest SAR/radar signal processing research and present findings at conferences and workshops.
- Collaborate effectively with engineers, scientists, and researchers on SAR-related projects.
- Research quality improvement methods for SAR data products.
- Document research activities and findings clearly and comprehensively.
Requirements
- PhD, Master's, or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Physics, or related field with strong focus on signal processing.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing radar signal processing algorithms.
- Deep knowledge of mathematical tools such as Fourier transform, Hilbert transform, statistical signal processing, Bessel functions, Taylor series, Hough transform, etc.
- Knowledge of SAR imaging principles and techniques is a plus.
- Strong understanding of radar theory and signal processing concepts.
- Experience with high-performance computing languages and frameworks (Python, MATLAB).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong work ethic and passion for research.
