Digital Services Manager (IBM i & z) - Remote India - 12 months+
For a large Automotive client we are looking for a Services Owner for IBM i and z platforms (formerly iSeries/AS400 and Mainframe). You'll be responsible for operations, performance management, vendor governance and the hosting services.
This will be a fully remote role from India
6-12 month contract

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the global Service Owner for IBM i and IBM z platforms (formerly iSeries/AS400 and Mainframe)
- The DSM will work closely with suppliers, internal platform architects, security, service management teams (Change/Incident/Problem), and other infrastructure stakeholders.
- Ensure day-to-day service operations deliver high availability, reliability, and security
- Manage and govern the hosting provider, including SLA oversight, financial tracking, and driving continuous service improvement
- Define and execute the service roadmap in alignment with business objectives and IT strategy
- Support incident management and maintain operational stability
- Collaborate closely with architecture, security, and service management teams to ensure cohesive service delivery
Your Experience
- Seniorlevel experience as Hosting Service owner in a global outsourced IT environment, preferably IBM i and IBM z.
- Strong vendor management capability (SLAs, RCA followup, performance, contract adherence).
- Proven ability to manage platform availability, reliability, performance, and security.
- Experience developing and driving service roadmaps, continuous improvement, and cost optimization.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, able to translate technical topics to nontechnical audiences.
- Selfgoing, Structured, persistent, and methodical working style.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced, dynamic, crossfunctional environment.
- Relevant academic background in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
