Job Description

Job Title: Digital Officer - Talegaon

Reporting to: Chief Digital Officer

Job Overview

Digital Officer is responsible for driving digital transformation initiatives at the site level by bridging business operations with technology solutions. As a frontline manager, the role focuses on execution, adoption, and value realization of digital initiatives across manufacturing, engineering, and support functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Digital Strategy Execution (Site Level)
  • Deploy enterprise digital strategy aligned with plant objectives
  • Identify opportunities for digitalization across production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain
  • Drive implementation of Industry 4.0 use cases (IoT, analytics, automation, AI)
  • Program & Project Management
  • Lead and manage digital projects from concept to deployment
  • Ensure timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met
  • Coordinate with central digital/IT teams and external vendors
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Act as the primary interface between plant operations and digital/IT teams
  • Engage with production, quality, maintenance, and leadership teams
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration for digital adoption
  • Digital Adoption & Change Management
  • Ensure high user adoption of digital tools and platforms
  • Conduct training sessions and awareness programs
  • Manage resistance to change and build a digital-first culture
  • Data & Analytics Enablement
  • Promote data-driven decision making across the plant
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and accessibility
  • Support implementation of dashboards, KPIs, and analytics tools

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Technical Skills

Strong Understanding Of

Industry 4.0 technologies (IoT, MES, AI/ML, Digital Twins)

Manufacturing processes and systems

ERP systems (SAP preferred)

Data analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, Python basics preferred)
