Role Focus: Drive IoT-enabled smart manufacturing, shop-floor digitalization, machine connectivity, real-time visibility, and data-driven operational improvement. Key Responsibilities
Lead IoT, smart manufacturing, machine connectivity, sensor integration, PLC/SCADA data capture, edge devices, gateways, and real-time monitoring.
Identify digitization opportunities in production, maintenance, quality, energy, safety, stores, and supply chain.
Implement digital solutions for OEE, machine utilization, downtime, MTBF/MTBR, predictive maintenance, energy monitoring, production progress, checklists, and quality records.
Convert shop-floor pain points into practical digital use cases with measurable business benefits.
Integrate IoT and manufacturing applications with ERP, SAP, MES, SharePoint, Power Apps, Power BI, SQL, and enterprise platforms.
Ensure IT/OT cybersecurity, network segmentation, access control, data governance, and compliance.
Track project timelines, cost, benefits, risks, adoption, uptime, data accuracy, and post-implementation performance.
Drive adoption through demonstrations, training, SOPs, documentation, and change management.
Key Skills And Competencies
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, shop-floor operations, machine data, production flow, maintenance practices, and operational KPIs.
Knowledge of IoT architecture, sensors, controllers, gateways, industrial networks, platforms, databases, dashboards, and analytics.
Strong communication, documentation, presentation, training, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage change and drive adoption across operators, supervisors, engineers, and management teams.
Qualification And Experience
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation, Electrical, Mechanical, Production Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in digital manufacturing, IoT implementation, industrial automation, IT/OT systems, Industry 4.0, or manufacturing application development.
Hands-on exposure to IoT platforms, PLC/SCADA integration, industrial sensors, edge gateways, OPC-UA, and MQTT protocols.
