Title: Digital Data Analyst
Location: Pune (Remote)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced GTM Specialist with expertise in pixel integration. This role will focus on integrating and managing tracking pixels within Google Tag Manager. The candidate should be adept at handling custom variables, triggers, and tags, and must have experience working with ecommerce data layers to track key events such as page views, add to cart, checkout, and more.
Job Duties:
- Set up and maintain tracking pixels using Google Tag Manager.
- Configure custom HTML tags in GTM for event tracking such as view_item, add_to_cart, purchase, and others.
- Ensure proper user identification through cookie setup on the backend.
- Create custom GTM variables to populate event fields for pixel tracking.
- Map values within GTM using custom variable templates for tracking payloads.
- Work alongside backend teams to ensure consistent and accurate data tracking across all pages.
- Troubleshoot and ensure the pixel is firing across the site, especially during key ecommerce interactions.
- Implement and optimize GA4-compatible tracking where necessary.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with Google Tag Manager setup and maintenance.
- Strong understanding of pixel tracking or similar integrations.
- Knowledge of ecommerce events (view item, add to cart, purchase) and how to track them through GTM.
- Experience with data layer variables, creating custom tags, triggers, and setting up first-party cookies.
- Familiarity with GA4 and integration with ecommerce tracking.
- Ability to collaborate with development teams for backend cookie configurations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience working with Shopify (headless or standard) is a plus.
- Familiarity with custom variable template configuration.
