About the Role

The Correspondent will be a key pillar of our digital editorial operations. This is a hands-on role that demands strong writing and editing instincts, a firm grasp of business and trade journalism, and the ability to manage multiple content formats, from wire edits and press release stories to social media updates, short-form videos, and podcasts, all without compromising on accuracy or speed. The candidate also needs to have the ability to moderate or conduct panel discussions, interviews, and roundtables with confidence, poise, and editorial rigor.

Work Responsibilities

• Edit and rewrite content from Wires.
• Can handle newsroom pressures, deadlines and SEO requirements.
• Write error-free copies that cover SMEs, exports, global trade and supply chain
• Handle operations, which include uploading stories and writing stories from press releases.
• Track and update social media platforms.
• Create videos and podcasts

Skills, Experience & Expertise

• Good command over English and writing skills
• Must be able handle social media (X, LinkedIn, and Facebook)
• Working knowledge of digital tools like CMS will be preferred
• Ability to moderate/conduct panel discussions

Subject Matter Expertise

• The ideal candidate will demonstrate a working understanding of one or more of the following beats:
• Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) government schemes, credit access, MSME policy, startup ecosystem
• Exports & Trade DGFT notifications, PLI schemes, free trade agreements, export incentives, trade data
• Global Trade & Geopolitics WTO, tariff regimes, bilateral trade relations, sanctions, trade corridors
• Supply Chain & Logistics freight, ports, warehousing, last-mile delivery, cold chain, 3PL
• Industrial Policy & Manufacturing Make in India, China+1, semiconductor push, EV supply chain
