About Aspire - IITB Research Park Foundation (IITBRPF):

In 2016, the Ministry of Education entrusted IIT Bombay with a pivotal mission: to establish the Research Park within the sprawling campus in Powai, Mumbai. This led to the creation of ASPIRE – the IIT Bombay Research Park Foundation, a non-profit organisation dedicated to catalysing innovation and research with real-world impact.

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Digital Communications and Content Intern with an understanding of digital discoverability, analytics, content optimisation, visual communications, and emerging digital tools.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Managing and maintaining ASPIRE's official social media platforms.
  • Planning, scheduling, and publishing content using social media management tools.
  • Capturing photographs and reels during events, visits, podcasts, and other activities.
  • Coordinating with internal teams to gather updates and communication inputs.
  • Assisting with digital campaigns.
  • Monitoring engagement, preparing analytics reports, and maintaining a repository of digital assets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Digital Marketing, Media & Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Design, Multimedia, or a related discipline.
  • Candidates from other disciplines may also be considered if they demonstrate relevant digital/content skills through their work or portfolio.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Strong working knowledge of digital marketing, social media platforms and digital content strategy, with an understanding of how different platforms serve different communication and audience objectives.
  • Strong understanding of content optimisation, keywords and digital discoverability, with the ability to apply these principles to digital content.
  • Demonstrated ability to create high-quality, brand-aligned digital content that is engaging, relevant and appropriate for an institutional/innovation-focused organisation.
  • Understanding of social media campaigns and content planning, including the ability to contribute to campaigns designed to increase reach, engagement, awareness and audience growth.
  • Strong understanding of social media analytics, audience behaviour and digital performance, with the ability to track metrics, identify what is working and suggest improvements.
  • Proficiency in relevant digital and creative tools such as Canva, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent.
  • Strong visual and creative judgement, with the ability to translate an idea or communication objective into an effective digital format.
  • Ability to independently learn and adopt new digital tools, platforms, formats and emerging technologies, including AI-enabled content and productivity tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and an understanding of brand consistency.
  • Ability to create and/or edit short-form videos, reels, motion graphics and other digital formats, particularly for institutional storytelling, events, innovation, research and industry engagement.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console or similar SEO/analytics tools.
  • Practical experience with video-editing and motion-graphics tools.
  • Exposure to social media campaigns, content calendars and multi-platform digital communication.
  • Exposure to developing performance reports or dashboards to assess reach, engagement, audience growth and campaign effectiveness.
