We are looking for a high-energy, proactive Digital Marketing & Sales Intern who understands the digital landscape and wants to master the art of selling it.
Unlike a traditional marketing internship, this role is revenue-focused. You will not just be creating content, you will be connecting clients with our digital advertising solutions. Your primary objective is to prospect, pitch and sell digital ad space & solutions to potential clients. You must understand digital assets (banners, video ads, native content) and possess the confidence to explain their value to business owners.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactive Sales & Prospecting: Identify potential clients through research, cold calling, email outreach and LinkedIn networking.
- Consultative Selling: Analyse client's marketing needs and explain how our specific digital ad assets (display, video, social, etc.) will help them achieve their ROI.
- Pipeline Management: Manage the sales cycle from initial contact to closing the deal and maintaining accurate records of interactions.
- Market Education: Act as a subject matter expert during pitches, helping traditional businesses understand the technical specifications and benefits of digital formats.
- Proposal Creation: Assist in creating compelling pitch decks and media kits that showcase our digital assets.
What are we looking for
- Digital Fluency (Crucial): You must have a strong understanding of the digital ecosystem. You should know the difference between CPM and CPC and understand various ad formats (Display Banners, Masthead, Interstitials, Pre-rolls, Native Ads etc).
- Sales DNA: You are not afraid of rejection. You are proactive, persistent and excited by the idea of closing a deal.
- Excellent Communication: You can write a professional email and command attention on a phone call.
- Self-Starter: You don't wait for instructions; you identify opportunities and chase them.
- Educational Background: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or a related field.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with CRM tools & Google Sheets.
- Previous experience in sales, customer service etc.
- Google Ads or Digital Marketing certifications.
