Leadership & Professional Practice
- Take accountability for services delivered through direct Nutrition Care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide professional nutrition services
- Maintain effective communication with hospital personnel, medical staff, patients, and the public
- Participate in formulation and implementation of Nutrition Care policies
Administrative Management
- Evaluate and adjust therapeutic diets for nutritional adequacy and appropriateness
- Ensure patient satisfaction and resolve service or quality concerns with proper follow-through
- Prepare MIS reports and submit Quality Indicators data periodically
- Maintain inventory standards for stationery and patient education materials
- Project staffing needs, participate in recruitment, and train dietetics interns
- Ensure adherence to departmental and hospital policies and procedures
Food Service Management
- Plan, standardize, and implement in-patient menus
- Conduct training for staff involved in patient meal preparation and service
- Perform organoleptic evaluation of patient meals along with the F&B Manager
- Facilitate continuous quality improvement in patient meal services
- Review hospital occurrence reports and implement preventive action plans
Nutrition Care Management
- Deliver individualized nutrition care considering medical, cultural, social, and religious needs
- Integrate evidence-based practices with clinical expertise and patient preferences
- Prepare Food Exchange Lists and calculate nutritive values of therapeutic diets
- Conduct daily ward rounds and provide bedside counseling
- Offer follow-up consultations in OPD
