Diesel Mechanic

Job: Mechanical Engineer (Diesel and Gas Generators - ie. CAT, Cummins, Perkins, FG Wilson, etc)

Location: Oman

Industry: Power Generation / Generator Rental

Experience: 3-7 Years in Generators or heavy equipment maintenance

Salary: OMR 350

***Experience in Oman or any GCC countries is preferred.

Job Summary:

Handle mechanical maintenance, overhauling, and performance optimization of diesel and gas generators to ensure reliable operation and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of generator engines and auxiliary systems.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance routines.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out necessary repairs or replacements.
• Support installation and commissioning of generator sets.
• Coordinate with electrical engineers during system integration.
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality procedures.

Requirements:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

37 years of experience in generator or heavy equipment maintenance.

Knowledge of engine systems (fuel, cooling, lubrication, etc.).

Experience with major generator brands (CAT, Cummins, Perkins, FG Wilson, etc.) preferred.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
