Diesel Calibration Engineer

Location: Gurugram, Haryana

Experience: 3–5 Years

Salary :- 9 to 12 Lacs

Qualification -B.Tech / M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or Mechatronics.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diesel engine calibration for passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and off-highway applications.
• Optimize engine performance, emissions, air path, and fuel path under steady-state and transient conditions.
• Perform sensor and actuator calibration.
• Work on After-Treatment System (ATS) calibration, characterization, and modelling.
• Conduct vehicle drivability assessments and recommend calibration improvements.
• Analyze ECU software gaps and suggest improvements to engine management functions.
• Plan and monitor engine tests, track progress, and implement corrective actions.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in diesel engine calibration and Engine Management Systems (EMS).
• Strong understanding of engine testing, combustion, performance, and emission development.
• Experience in after-treatment system selection and calibration.
• Working knowledge of calibration and data logging tools such as INCA, ATI Vision, VISU, and CANalyzer.
• Experience with AVL Concerto, CAMEO, MATLAB, Simulink, or Python.
• Experience in OBD calibration will be an added advantage.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
