Immediate hiring for Production Manager for Dicalcium Phosphate (DCP) oversees the technical and operational manufacturing of calcium-based supplements used in fertilizers, animal feed, and pharmaceuticals. Our Plant located in Nellore.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight:Manage daily operations for DCP production units, including the supervision of specialized equipment like paddle dryers or reactors for nitric acid and utilities.
- Production Planning:Develop and execute production schedules to meet demand while maintaining target inventory levels for both raw materials and finished goods.
- Quality Control:Ensure output meets stringent industry standards such as ISO 22000, HACCP, or pharmaceutical-grade requirements.
- Compliance & Safety:Enforce health and safety (EHS) guidelines and ensure the facility adheres to environmental and regulatory requirements (e.g., CIB-RC registrations).
- Process Optimization:Implement Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies to identify bottlenecks, reduce waste, and improve cost-effectiveness.
- Maintenance Management:Coordinate routine maintenance and repairs for plant machinery to minimize downtime and maximize utilization rates.
- Staff Leadership:Manage, mentor, and evaluate teams and workers, often operating in shifts.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education:A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agrochemical Science or Chemical Engineering, Chemistry,
- Experience:Typically requires 8+ years of experience in chemical or fertilizer production environments.
- Technical Acumen:Deep knowledge of chemical reaction processes, industrial drying, and quality assurance documentation like Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR).
- Tools:Proficiency in ERP software (e.g., SAP), Microsoft Excel, and project management tools.
- Soft Skills:Strong leadership, analytical problem-solving, and communication skills for liaising between upper management and plant personnel.
Work Environment & Salary
- Setting:Production managers primarily work on-site at industrial manufacturing plants.
