Role Description The Dialysis Technician at Sterling Hospitals in Gandhidham is a full-time, on-site role responsible for delivering safe and effective dialysis treatment to patients under the supervision of nephrologists and nursing staff. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and operating dialysis machines, setting up equipment and supplies, and ensuring proper infection control procedures are followed at all times. The technician monitors patients before, during, and after dialysis sessions, records vital signs and treatment parameters, and promptly reports any unusual symptoms or complications. This role also involves educating patients and families on dialysis procedures and basic care, maintaining accurate documentation, and coordinating with the clinical team to support high standards of patient care.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency in Dialysis and Hemodialysis procedures, including machine setup, operation, and routine maintenance.
- Strong Patient Care skills, with the ability to provide compassionate, respectful, and culturally sensitive support during treatment.
- Foundational knowledge of Medicine relevant to renal care and dialysis, including fluid balance, electrolyte management, and infection control.
- Ability to accurately measure, monitor, and document Vital Signs and treatment-related observations.
- Diploma or certification as a Dialysis Technician or in a relevant allied health field; additional training in nephrology is an advantage.
- Previous experience in a hospital or dialysis center setting, preferably in a multi-speciality environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to follow clinical protocols and collaborate with physicians and nurses.
- Attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality standards, and willingness to work in shift-based schedules as required.
