PRVNT Clinics & Diagnostics
Lead Diagnostic Physician
T. Nagar, Chennai · Full-time · Frontier diagnostics, integrated reporting, capability building
About PRVNTPRVNT is a physician-led preventive and longevity health membership programme. Members enrol in 12-month journeys across Men, Women and Elders tracks, combining frontier diagnostics with physician oversight, health coaching, wearable integration and targeted therapeutics.
Our diagnostic stack runs deep: whole genome sequencing and pharmacogenomics, comprehensive biomarker panels, hormones and micronutrients, exposome and microplastics testing, cardiometabolic and cancer screening, imaging, and continuous wearable data.
We operate across India, the UAE and Malaysia, with our backend operations office in T. Nagar, Chennai. We are building the next generation of preventive care, and being at the forefront matters to us.
The roleWe are hiring a Lead Diagnostic Physician to do two things.
First, make sense of every member's diagnostic data and produce a single integrated clinical report that the treating physician uses to design the treatment plan and 12-month preventive roadmap. You will read everything (WGS, biomarker and hormone panels, micronutrient status, exposome and microplastics, cardiometabolic and cancer screening, imaging, wearable data), integrate it across systems, identify what matters, and write one cohesive report. The treating physician owns the member relationship and treatment plan; you produce the document it is built on.
Second, continuously sharpen PRVNT's diagnostic capabilities. The science of preventive and longevity medicine is moving fast. Stay at the frontier, evaluate what is real and what is hype, and bring the right things into how PRVNT practises.
This is a focused, analytical seat for someone who finds reading dense diagnostic data genuinely interesting and who wants to be at the leading edge of preventive medicine in India.
As PRVNT scales, you will also set up a small diagnostics team of 2 to 3 people under your direction, scaling your interpretation work and capability-building across a growing member base.
Eligible specialtiesWe are open to physicians from any of the following specialties, provided you have the clinical breadth, analytical instincts and longevity-medicine curiosity the role demands:
- Internal Medicine (MD / DNB)
- Medical or Clinical Genetics (DM / fellowship)
- Family Medicine (MD / DNB / MRCGP)
- Endocrinology (DM / DNB)
- Preventive and Social Medicine / Community Medicine (MD)
- Pathology or Clinical Pathology (MD)
- Biochemistry (MD)
Additional training in lifestyle, longevity, functional, environmental or preventive medicine is welcomed in any specialty, and treated as a meaningful plus.
What you will ownReading and integrating the diagnostic workup
- Read every panel in a member's workup carefully: whole genome sequencing and pharmacogenomics, comprehensive blood and urine panels, hormone and micronutrient panels, lipidology and inflammation markers, cardiometabolic risk markers, exposome and microplastics testing, imaging, cancer screening and continuous wearable data.
- Integrate findings across panels rather than reading each in isolation. Identify the few things that genuinely matter for this member, and the connections between them.
- Cross-check for internal contradictions, calculation errors and reference-range mismatches before anything reaches the treating physician.
Producing the integrated report
- For every member, produce a single integrated clinical report: synthesised findings across all diagnostic streams, the clinical picture they collectively paint, the risks worth acting on, the open questions that need exploration, and clear flags for anything urgent or borderline.
- Hand this report to the treating physician as the foundation for designing the treatment plan and 12-month preventive roadmap.
- Be available for clinical discussion before, during or after consults when the treating physician needs a second pair of eyes on the data.
- Keep your reports rigorous, clinically grounded and physician-ready.
Improving our diagnostic capabilities
- Stay actively current with the preventive and longevity medicine literature: new biomarkers, multi-omic approaches, exposome science, ageing biology, environmental medicine and emerging interpretation frameworks.
- Continuously evaluate new diagnostic panels, technologies and partners. Form a clear, evidence-led point of view on what to bring in, what to wait on, and what to pass on.
- Build, document and refine PRVNT's internal interpretation frameworks: reference ranges, integration rules, escalation triggers and clinical decision support.
- Help shape what the next iteration of PRVNT's diagnostic stack looks like, and bring the rest of the clinical and operations team along.
Diagnostic partners and data quality
- Be the in-house clinical interface for our diagnostic partners (Anderson Diagnostics, Neuberg Centre for Genomic Medicine, exposome and imaging partners): chasing reports, clarifying results, and flagging quality issues.
- Maintain the integrity of the diagnostic dataset that the treating physician and the rest of the care team rely on.
Building and leading the diagnostics team
- As PRVNT scales, hire and lead a small diagnostics pod of 2 to 3 physicians or clinical analysts working under your direction.
- Set the standard of care, train the team to it, and audit their work so the bar holds as the function grows.
- Distribute interpretation work intelligently while keeping personal ownership of the most complex, escalated or genuinely novel cases.
What you will bring- A postgraduate qualification in one of the specialties listed above, with active TNMC registration (or eligibility to obtain it before joining).
- At least 4 years of post-PG clinical experience, with meaningful exposure to interpreting advanced diagnostic panels.
- Genuine knowledge across both preventive and longevity medicine. You read the field for interest, not just for work.
- Fluency in reading complex lab data: comprehensive biomarkers, hormones, micronutrients, lipidology, glycaemic and inflammation markers. Comfort with genomic data at the WGS scale, including pharmacogenomics.
- Curiosity about emerging diagnostic frontiers: exposomes, microplastics, multi-omics, ageing biology, environmental medicine. The willingness to keep learning where the textbooks have not caught up yet.
- A careful, methodical temperament. You enjoy reading dense reports closely, catching the small things, and producing integrated reports that other clinicians can trust.
- A preventive, longitudinal mindset. You think in terms of risk reduction over years, not single-visit problem solving.
- Comfort working in a startup-style environment: small team, fast iteration, direct ownership of your scope.
If you are not yet at every one of these markers but you are hungry to get there, that is workable for the right person. We care more about your trajectory and your seriousness about this field than about a perfect checklist on day one.
Nice to have- Prior experience in a preventive health, executive health, longevity, integrative, environmental or lab-medicine setting.
- Hands-on experience interpreting whole genome sequencing data and pharmacogenomic reports, and confidence translating SNP-level findings into practical recommendations.
- Familiarity with exposome science, environmental toxicology or microplastics-related health research.
- Familiarity with continuous glucose monitoring and wearable physiological data (HRV, sleep, recovery) and how to use them in clinical interpretation.
- Published clinical work, conference participation, or any track record of engaging actively with the field.
- Working ability in Tamil and / or Hindi, useful for member-facing report tone.
What success looks like in year one- Every PRVNT member, across all our markets, has their full diagnostic workup read carefully, integrated, and delivered to the treating physician as a single, rigorous integrated report.
- Treating physicians consistently report that PRVNT integrated reports give them a foundation for treatment planning that they cannot get anywhere else.
- Reports leaving PRVNT are uniformly clear, accurate, and free of contradictions or errors.
- A growing, documented internal library of interpretation frameworks the team can practise to.
- Visible improvements to PRVNT's diagnostic stack over the year: new tests evaluated and adopted (or rejected) on clear evidence-led grounds, with PRVNT measurably ahead of where preventive medicine is being practised elsewhere.
- A small, high-trust diagnostics pod (2 to 3 people) hired, trained and operating to a consistent standard, allowing the function to scale with PRVNT's growth.
Who you will work withYou will work most closely with the treating physicians at PRVNT across our India, UAE and Malaysia operations, with the founder, and with our diagnostic and specialist partners. You will also collaborate with the health coach team, who will use your integrated reports and the treatment plan that follows to build out the rest of the member journey.
Location and working styleBased full-time at our T. Nagar, Chennai backend operations office. From there, you will serve PRVNT members across all our markets, working closely with treating physicians in India, the UAE and Malaysia. This is largely a focused, deep-reading role with regular clinical discussion alongside the treating physician and active engagement with the broader literature.
