Position: Diagnostic Integration & Validation Expert (TT50ST RM 4163)
Role Overview
Serving as the technical bridge between the VCI hardware, the OEM Cloud Backend, and the Vehicle networks. These experts will own the UDS protocol stack, system integration testing (SiL/HiL), and physical deployment troubleshooting at the vehicle assembly plants.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement, test, and validate the dual-stack UDS diagnostic flow (ISO 14229), explicitly managing the fallback/downgrade protection.
- Validate the end-to-end Offline Ticketing flow, ensuring the OEM Cloud properly generates tickets, the GUI caches them, and the VCI decrypts them.
- Write automated test scripts for CAN networks to simulate malicious diagnostic requests, validating the VCI's security boundaries.
- Conduct extensive Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) testing against simulated Central Gateway (CGW) and edge ECU nodes.
- Plant Support: Travel to OEM vehicle manufacturing facilities mostly after the development phase to support End-of-Line (EOL) VCI deployment, debugging Cloud-to-GUI API triggers, flashing failures etc.
- Manage cloud backend configuration, remote diagnostics, and flashing protocols.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Automotive Diagnostics (UDS ISO 14229, ISO-TP).
- Expert proficiency with Vector tooling (CANoe, CANalyzer, PCAN, vTESTstudio, CAPL scripting).
- Experience with automated test execution and Continuous Integration (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Excellent on-site troubleshooting skills; comfortable working on a live vehicle assembly line or with plant IT/Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
- Working knowledge of network traffic analysis and API testing tools for cloud integration debugging.
