About The Opportunity

A leadership role in the Veterinary Pharmaceuticals / Animal Health sector focused on building durable commercial momentum across India. This on-site position (Ghaziabad) drives sales growth, distributor relationships, and major-account business while partnering with marketing and product teams to scale revenue and market share.

Deputy General Manager - Sales & Marketing | Location: Ghaziabad, India | On-site | Salary: 1820 LPA

Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver assigned division sales and growth targets by executing the approved sales & marketing strategy and aligning the field organisation to company objectives.
  • Design and deploy disruptive growth programs (new channels, regional plays, product bundling) to expand market penetration and improve unit economics.
  • Drive performance management: set targets, conduct periodic reviews, diagnose gaps, and implement corrective action to maximise incentive earnings and productivity.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, capability building and retention of a panIndia field sales team in coordination with HR and zone leaders.
  • Manage Major Accounts (B2B) with commercial teams and regional managers; negotiate contracts, pricing and supply terms to protect margin and revenue.
  • Collaborate with Marketing/Product Management on demand generation campaigns, annual budget preparation (value & product wise), inventory planning, and outstanding control.

Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate in Life Sciences (B.Sc. Bio/Biotech) / B.Pharm / B.V.Sc & A.H.; MBA/PGDM desirable.
  • Experience: 18+ years in Sales & Marketing within the Veterinary Pharmaceuticals / Animal Health industry, including 23 years in a similar DGM/leadership role.
  • Ability to travel panIndia and work on-site from Ghaziabad as required.
