Godrej Industries (Chemicals) is one of the oldest businesses of the Godrej Group and is in the business of manufacturing oleochemicals in India since 1963. Today, we are one of India's leading oleochemicals players and manufacture and market over 100 chemicals for use in more than 24 applications. We are expanding our reach globally and our products are exported to over 80 countries in North and South America, Asia, Europe, Australia and Africa. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities are located in India at Valia in Gujarat and Ambernath in Maharashtra.

Job Purpose

The incumbent will be responsible for handling overall Supply Planning, Logistics, Import/Export Customer service, ports sales at Godrej Industries Ltd- chemicals.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for Supply Chain Management (Outbound Logistics, Inventory and Warehouse Management at GIL-Chem.
• Planning & organizing various activities involved in outbound logistic of finished goods by Rail & Road transportation.
• Source and select C&F's, suppliers, vendors, transporters to ensure TDC (Total Distribution Cost) reductions and product availability to increase CSL (Customer Service Level).
• Optimizer performance cell to allocate the quantity including all cost parameter related to logistics operations which include input parameters from sales and production team.
• Close coordination with Marketing & Sales team to prepare Sales-Dispatch plan with the help of Production & Packing Plant team to make product available on given time line to optimum the OET (Order Execution Time) and brand value and customer faith in the market.
• Well versed with modern technology, ERP & SAP Tools (MM & SD Module).
• Increase productivity in the terms of logistics to reduce TAT/GIGO (Turnaround time/Gate-IN & Gate-Out Time).
• Generating weekly/monthly distribution plan.
• Generating forecast of material (RM & PM) for the BUs based on production trend, along with a delivery schedule to optimize storage space utilization.
• Delivery tracking and follow-up with purchase, as well as with central planning for RM, PM and FG.
• Coordinating with various departments (Production, sales, quality, costing and New Product Development) to ensure proper execution of planning.
• Minimizing monthly sales loss through production and dispatch plan, tracking, and analyzing service level efficiency to avoid future losses.
• Reverse logistics management.
• Responsible for Customer Audit and Internal Audit related to Logistics Function
• Lead the CFT for Yearly contracts of transportation, manpower and other services.
• Management of service level contracts, Route planning & market survey for cost optimization.
• Risk and Hazard Analysis for liquid and solid cargo.

Vendor development, management & analyze the service level.

• Evaluating transporter performance by on-time placement percentage, transit time and in-transit damage analysis.

Tracking of budget v/s actual freight expenses, gaps & analysis.

Educational Qualification:

MBA (preferably Logistics or Supply chain)

Experience:

10 -12 years relevant experience

Skills:

Strategic agility; understanding market logistics trends.

Strong Communication & interpersonal skills.

Ability to influence without authority.

Data documentation and interpretation.

Innovative thinking.

Proactive approach.

Business acumen and financial understanding

Executive presence to build top-top customer relationships.
