Location: Ahmedabad

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented DGM / GM – Finance & Accounts to lead the Finance & Accounts function and ensure strong financial governance, compliance, and business support. The role will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end accounting operations, monthly MIS closure, taxation, cash flow management, statutory audits, budgeting, financial planning, and internal controls.

The incumbent will work closely with business and functional leaders to drive financial discipline, improve operational efficiencies, ensure statutory compliance, and provide strategic financial insights for informed decision-making.

The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in financial accounting, taxation, treasury management, audit coordination, MIS reporting, and financial controls. Candidates with prior experience in the manufacturing sector will be preferred

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closure of books of accounts.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Drive monthly MIS preparation, review, analysis, and presentation to management.
  • Monitor financial performance and provide actionable insights to business leaders.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data across all reporting systems.

Taxation & Compliance

  • Oversee direct and indirect taxation matters including GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory compliances. US Tax understanding would be advantage
  • Ensure timely filing of statutory returns and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Coordinate with consultants, auditors, and government authorities on tax-related matters.
  • Monitor changes in tax regulations and ensure organizational compliance.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management

  • Manage working capital requirements and optimize cash flow across the organization.
  • Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts and fund utilization plans.
  • Oversee banking relationships, treasury operations, and fund management activities.
  • Ensure effective liquidity management while minimizing financing costs.

Audit & Internal Controls

  • Lead statutory audits, tax audits, internal audits, and other regulatory audits.
  • Coordinate with auditors and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
  • Strengthen internal financial controls and governance frameworks.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Manufacturing Finance & Cost Control

  • Partner with plant leadership to monitor manufacturing costs and profitability.
  • Review cost structures and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Monitor inventory valuation, stock controls, and working capital efficiency.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Track key operational and financial KPIs and recommend improvement initiatives.

Business Partnering

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and HR.
  • Provide financial insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Participate in business planning, expansion projects, and process improvement initiatives.

Desired Candidate Profile

Educational Qualification

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) is required.
  • CMA / ICWA qualification will be an added advantage.

Experience

  • 14–16 years of progressive experience in Finance & Accounts.
  • Strong exposure to manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
  • Experience in handling end-to-end accounting, MIS, taxation, treasury, and audits.
  • Prior experience in a leadership role managing finance teams.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards, GST, Income Tax, TDS, and Companies Act compliance.
  • Expertise in financial reporting, MIS preparation, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Tally, or similar platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial analysis.
