As we continue to scale, we are looking for a highly driven DGM / General Manager – Estimation to lead our estimation and commercial planning function across India and international projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the estimation function for commercial interiors and Design & Build projects across India and global markets.
- Drive end-to-end cost planning, budgeting, and commercial evaluation from concept design through project award.
- Own the complete bid management lifecycle, including tender reviews, pricing strategies, proposal submissions, and commercial negotiations.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical documentation to develop accurate and competitive cost estimates.
- Partner with leadership teams to optimize pricing, margins, and bid positioning while maintaining profitability targets.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing estimation team, ensuring quality, consistency, and process excellence.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and reliable partnerships.
- Drive value engineering, cost benchmarking, and standardization initiatives to improve estimation efficiency and project outcomes.
- Identify commercial, contractual, and execution risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate closely with Design, Procurement, and Project Management teams to ensure seamless handover from estimation to execution.
- Develop reporting frameworks, dashboards, and estimation processes that provide leadership with visibility into project pipelines and commercial performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Strong expertise in cost estimation, commercial planning, and bid management for large-scale commercial interior and Design & Build projects.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, and estimation tools.
- Deep understanding of construction materials, methodologies, contracts, and commercial drivers.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
Preferred Experience
- 8–12+ years of experience in Estimation, Commercial Management, or Bid Management roles.
- Proven experience leading estimation teams and managing high-value bids.
- Experience working on global projects with exposure to international costing standards and practices.
- Strong background in Commercial Interiors and Design & Build projects.
- Experience in vendor management, contract negotiations, and strategic sourcing.
