- The DGM Commercial will be responsible for driving business growth through effective management of Sales, Marketing, Business Development, EXIM, and Commercial functions.
- The role involves strategic planning, budgeting, sales forecasting, pricing management, tender participation, channel development, and brand-building initiatives to achieve organizational objectives and profitability targets.
Strategy, Business Development & Leadership
- Develop and execute business strategies to achieve organizational growth and profitability objectives.
- Lead Sales, Marketing, Business Development, EXIM, and Commercial functions for domestic and international markets.
- Drive business expansion initiatives across India and target markets.
- Ensure achievement of sales targets, revenue objectives, and business growth plans.
- Develop sales forecasts, business plans, pricing strategies, and budgets.
- Support long-term business development initiatives and strategic planning activities.
Sales & Commercial Management
- Manage sales operations for domestic and overseas markets.
- Oversee pricing strategies, commercial negotiations, and profitability analysis.
- Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions to achieve business targets.
- Manage customer relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Handle commercial matters related to Credit Notes, Fixed Deposits, and Turnover Discounts.
- Ensure consistency in commercial policies and pricing structures across markets.
Tendering & Institutional Business
- Manage preparation and submission of tenders for PSU, Government, Institutional, and Corporate customers.
- Review tender specifications, commercial terms, and pricing structures.
- Coordinate submission of online and offline bids and commercial proposals.
- Manage long-term contracts with institutional customers.
- Monitor contract compliance and price revision mechanisms linked to raw material indices.
Channel Sales & Distribution Management
- Develop and strengthen distributor and dealer networks.
- Monitor distributor performance and sales activities across regions.
- Implement dealer development and market expansion programs.
- Drive channel sales growth through effective sales planning and execution.
- Build and maintain strong business relationships with dealers, distributors, and channel partners.
Marketing & Brand Development
- Develop and implement sales promotion and dealer support schemes.
- Manage Marketing Support Policy and Dealer Development Support Policy initiatives.
- Plan and execute brand-building activities, exhibitions, trade shows, roadshows, and promotional campaigns.
- Coordinate distribution of promotional materials, merchandise, and branding elements.
- Strengthen market visibility and brand positioning through strategic marketing initiatives.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
- Support customer engagement initiatives and customer retention programs.
- Coordinate tyre management activities and tyre maintenance services to evaluate product performance.
- Manage customer welcome programs, promotional activities, and relationship-building initiatives.
- Resolve customer concerns and ensure effective after-sales support.
Financial Planning & Commercial Control
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and business planning activities.
- Monitor pricing, margins, and profitability across product categories and markets.
- Ensure effective financial control over commercial operations.
- Coordinate with Costing and Finance teams to improve organizational profitability.
- Review commercial performance and recommend corrective measures where necessary.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with Production, Supply Chain, Finance, Costing, Accounts, and other departments to ensure smooth business operations.
- Coordinate with Internal Audit teams to strengthen controls and compliance.
- Support ERP implementation and process improvement initiatives.
- Facilitate effective communication between departments to achieve business objectives.
