About this role:

  • Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer.
  • This includesoperations, control executives, strategic execution, business continuity and resiliency, data solutions andservices, regulatory relations, customer experience, enterprise shared services, supply chain management, andthe corporate properties group.
  • COO Technology provides technology solutions and manages applicationportfolios for these groups to support modernization and optimization. Within COO Technology we are seeking a DevSecOps Lead Software Engineer whose role is essential forexecuting strategic vision and driving concrete results.
  • The COO DevSecOps team's unique value lies inintegrating security into automation and delivery, orchestrating cross-team workflows, and ensuring thatmodern infrastructure and deployment practices are both efficient and secure.
  • The DevSecOps teamcollaborates with Enterprise Infrastructure Management to optimize compute resources, partners with CyberSecurity to enforce security policies and leverage threat intelligence and works with the Chief DevelopmentOffice to refine deployment tools and frameworks-while operationalizing and integrating these capabilitiesinto the delivery lifecycle.
  • This role will implement secure & scalable CI/CD processes and procedures,
    contribute to cloud infrastructure decisions, and work with the Site Reliability Engineering team to embedreliability and observability across platforms. Their influence on tooling, automation, and resilience engineeringwill accelerate modernization and ensure robust, secure, and efficient delivery pipelines for COO Technology

In this role, you will:

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Job Expectations:

  • Provide direction and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant automation and Agentic AI to enhance business solutions
    Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommend innovations thatenhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organization.
  • Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as anexpert technical advisor to leadership
  • Ensure adherence to the Banking Platform Architecture, and meeting non-functional requirementswith each release
    Partner with, engage and influence architects and experienced engineers to incorporate Wells FargoTechnology technical strategies, while understanding next generation domain architecture and enableapplication migration paths to target architecture, for example cloud readiness, applicationmodernization, data strategy
  • Function as the technical representative for the DevSecOps function during cross-team collaborativeefforts and planning
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for driving escalated resolution of technology roadblocksincluding code, build and deployment while also managing overall software development cycle andsecurity standards
  • Determine appropriate strategies and actions to act as an escalation partner for scrum masters and theteams to meet moderate to high-risk deliverables and help remove impediments, obstacles, andfriction while encouraging constant learning, experimentation, and continual improvement
  • Interpret, develop and ensure security, stability, and scalability within functions of technology with high complexity, as well as identify, manage and mitigate technology and enterprise risk
  • Collaborate with, partner with and influence Product Managers/Product Owners to drive usersatisfaction, influence technology requirements and priorities in the product roadmap, promoteinnovative and intelligent solutions, generate corporate value and articulate technical strategy whilebeing a solid advocate of agile and DevOps practices
  • Interact directly with third party vendors and technology service providers

Additional Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of experience with strategic planning in technology
  • 4+ years of experience with technology such as Java, Angular, .NET, SQL Server and Big Data
  • 4+ years of scripting and automation experience
  • 3+ years of experience with cloud technologies (AWA, Azure, GCP)
  • 3+ years of experience working with analyzing and interpreting large datasets
  • 3+ years of experience with performance tuning & performance optimization
  • 3+ years of data security and design experience
  • 3+ years of working with DevOps tools (Git, Automation Deployment toolkits)
  • 3+ years working in an Agile development environment
  • 3+ years of experience with CI/CD/CT (Continuous Integration / Continuous Development /Continuous Testing)

Desired Qualifications

  • 4+ years of financial industry experience
  • 2+ years of experience leading Generative AI or Classical AI initiatives
  • Experience with configuration and monitoring technologies such as Ansible, Grafana, ElasticAPM,Splunk, Prometheus or AppDynamics
  • Strong executive presence, facilitation skills, drive for results, attention to quality and detail, and asynergetic attitude
  • Ability to develop and deliver effective, well-articulated, written, and oral communications (e.g., emails,presentation materials) applying appropriate level of content/ detail dependent upon audience andintent
  • Experience as a highly effective leader with credibility from demonstrating strong business andtechnology acumen
  • Excellent communications, interpersonal, and presentations skills across technical and non-technicalgroups
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with a focus on proactive solutions
  • Experience with Agile transformations
  • Experience with Gen AI/Traditional AI stack including Python, Spark, Large Language Models
  • Experience with Agentic AI frameworks or similar
  • Experience in creating & delivering technology roadmaps
  • Experience with modeling tools like Erwin, PowerDesigner etc.
  • Experience with Python, Spark, Kafka, Apache Flink, Apache Storm, Kubernetes, Docker
  • Experience working with Data Microservices
  • Experience with NoSQL and Graph databases
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes platforms
  • Google / Azure / Amazon Cloud certifications
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
