Plan A Technologies is looking for a
DevOps Support Engineer. In this position, you will support and enhance the AWS-based lab environments, which include more than 250 AWS lab environments made up of Amazon EKS clusters hosting microservices-based applications, as well as legacy application stacks running on Windows Server environments. This role is responsible for lab provisioning, automation, operational support, troubleshooting, and platform improvement.
Please note: you must have at least 4+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or application support roles and expert knowledge of AWS to be considered for this role.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY
- Provision and support AWS-based lab environments using approved automation processes.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, Kubernetes, CI/CD, application, and legacy environment issues.
- Build and maintain automation using Terraform, GitHub Actions, Backstage, Argo CD, and related CI/CD tooling.
- Support Amazon EKS environments and cloud-native services.
- Support and troubleshoot Jenkins build pipelines and related CI/CD workflow issues.
- Provide installation, configuration, and troubleshooting support.
- Advantage applications, including Machine Accounting, EZPAY, Player Management, and Bonusing.
- Support VMware infrastructure administration tasks as needed.
- Improve platform reliability, standardization, automation, and operational efficiency.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and runbooks.
- Collaborate with development, QA, release, and support teams.
Experience
- 4+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or application support roles.
- Expert knowledge of AWS
- Strong expertise in Linux OS, Windows OS, and SQL Server.
- Hands-on experience with Helm, GitOps workflows, Terraform, Ansible, Argo CD, and Kubernetes deployment tooling.
- Experience supporting proprietary or internally developed enterprise applications.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Backstage, Argo CD, and CI/CD or deployment tooling.
- Strong working knowledge of Kubernetes and Amazon EKS.
- Experience with VMware infrastructure administration and operational support.
- Experience troubleshooting build, deployment, and pipeline issues across CI/CD platforms.
- Experience working in Agile environments with Jira, daily standups, and cross-functional team collaboration.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills across infrastructure, platform, and application layers.
- Ability to support both modern cloud-native platforms and legacy application stacks.
- Strong technical English and clear communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
