DevOps Specialist

Job Description

Role Purpose

As Senior Specialist - Devops at Accelya, you will lead complex CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation and platform reliability engineering work, designing authoritative technical solutions, mentoring junior engineers and driving engineering quality and best practices across the team.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead complex CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation and platform reliability engineering design and delivery, producing high-quality, scalable and maintainable solutions

• Drive adoption of GitHub Copilot, Claude and AI-powered CI/CD analytics tools for pipeline automation, intelligent deployment validation and predictive reliability analytics across the team, measuring and communicating engineering velocity improvements

• Lead technical quality activities including architecture reviews and code quality standards

• Mentor and coach junior engineers, building technical capability and engineering culture

• Collaborate with senior architects on platform design decisions and technical roadmaps

• Lead resolution of complex technical incidents, applying expert debugging and problem-solving

• Use generative AI (Claude, ChatGPT) for technical design documents, engineering RFCs and knowledge base articles

Required Experience & Skills

• 7+ years of DevOps experience including technical leadership of complex features or systems

• Expert proficiency in Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Prometheus, Grafana and AWS DevOps services

• Proven ability to lead code reviews, mentor engineers and drive engineering best practices

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and modern software delivery

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Expert use of GitHub Copilot, Claude and AI-powered CI/CD analytics tools for pipeline automation, intelligent deployment validation and predictive reliability analytics to accelerate complex engineering work and drive quality improvement across a team

• Deep knowledge of AWS services and how cloud-native patterns apply to mission-critical airline software

• Proficiency with generative AI (Claude, ChatGPT) for engineering RFCs, technical leadership content and knowledge management

• Understanding of the competitive airline technology engineering landscape
