Azure DevOps Engineer

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer with 6–8 years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, application onboarding, migration, and CI/CD. The role will be responsible for leading Azure application transitions, infrastructure and repository migrations, automation, release management, and ensuring security and operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead cloud application onboarding, transition, and migration activities across Azure environments.
• Plan and execute migration of Azure Resource Groups, Azure services, databases, and infrastructure.
• Migrate and configure source code repositories and CI/CD pipelines into Azure DevOps.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and YAML.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and maintain reusable Terraform templates/modules.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, application deployments, and operational processes.
• Coordinate knowledge transfer and transition activities with external vendors and technology teams.
• Work with development, architecture, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth application onboarding.
• Implement and maintain security, compliance, monitoring, logging, and operational readiness requirements.
• Support production deployments, release management, rollback activities, and environment readiness.
• Monitor application and infrastructure health using Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to deployments, pipelines, infrastructure, networking, and application availability.
• Implement appropriate RBAC, Key Vault, networking, and access-control mechanisms.
• Maintain technical documentation covering infrastructure, deployment processes, pipelines, and operational procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve automation, deployment efficiency, reliability, and DevOps maturity.

Required Technical Skills

• 6–8 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Azure, or related technologies.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps.
• Expertise in Azure Repos, Azure Pipelines, YAML-based CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong experience with Azure services including:
  • Azure App Services
  • Azure Functions
  • Azure Resource Groups
  • Azure SQL
  • Azure Cosmos DB
  • PostgreSQL
• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience creating and managing Terraform templates, modules, and configurations.
• Good understanding of Docker and containerized application deployments.
• Strong scripting experience with PowerShell and/or Python.
• Experience with Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
• Good understanding of Azure Networking, including VNets, subnets, NSGs, and connectivity concepts.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Key Vault and RBAC.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, access management, monitoring, compliance, and operational readiness.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud migration and application modernization projects.
• Experience handling application onboarding and transition from external vendors.
• Knowledge of DevOps best practices, branching strategies, release management, and deployment automation.
• Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with distributed technical teams.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
