Job Title: Lead Devops Engineer

Location: Gurgaon

Reports To: Engineering Manager

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Lead Devops Engineer to lead and scale our DevOps function. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving automation, enhancing infrastructure reliability, improving deployment processes, and fostering a culture of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD). This role requires strong technical expertise along with proven people management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage the DevOps team, ensuring high performance and continuous growth.
• Define and implement DevOps strategy aligned with business and engineering objectives.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure.
• Own and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid and reliable software releases.
• Drive infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, Security, and QA teams to streamline software delivery.
• Establish and monitor system reliability, availability, performance, and scalability metrics.
• Implement and maintain observability practices, including monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks.
• Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and governance standards across infrastructure and deployment processes.

Required Experience & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Infrastructure Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience leading and managing engineering teams.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong expertise in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong scripting/programming skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
